Well the plex didnt grow on a tree, thats for sure. But yea, as soon as the plex is consumed CCP probably couldnt care less.
However, as the OP might have bought another plex in the future instead of doing the ragequit they prolly lost some revenue there.
Actually i'm pretty sure the Op buys his plexes with money made from mining...so no... he wouldnt spend a dime of real money. The guy who really bought the plex will sell it to someone else, regardless of whether this guy stays or not.

The 'someone else' does not matter here, if the OP doesnt buy another plex there is one less plex being sold.
The OP buying a plex or not doesnt have any impact on other people possibly buying them.

If you're paying for your account through plex - kudos to you, I hope to get there someday myself. For CCP however, the revenue comes from the person who buys the plex, not the person who uses it.
The only affect this has on CCP is lowered cpu demands.
If someone stops buying plex, demand for Plex goes down which means prices go down, which means less people will be buying timecodes for the sole purpose of converting them to plexes for isk because it's just not worth their money. This ofcourse means less moneys for ccp.
They might even resort to buying their isk illegally. <- CCP poured quite a bit of man-hours and thus a lot of money into trying to prevent things like that from happening because it leads to nasty things like keylogger spam on the forums and damages their reputation.
Do you understand it now or should I spell it out for you? L-E-S-S P-L-E-X-E-S B-E-I-N-G S-O-L-D = L-E-S-S M-O-N-E-Y F-O-R C-C-P. I-T'-S E-F-F-I-N-G O-B-V-I-O-U-S.

On the other hand, less plex being sold means more people buying plex = more money for ccp...

Sorry to hear that, hope you can sort it out.
IDEA: Get a Job, no really. -------- # need 1 bucket full of warm water # Shampoo or car wash (who will know) # Small clean rag # Sign= "Car/Truck wash $5, Need to play EVE ONLINE"
Only need to wash 3 cars and you have the $15 to buy Plex. Some times it can take all weekend to get people to stop, but you only have to do it once a month and "Woosh Caching $$".

I don't know how to say it without sounding mean... but from your description it sounds like you should be investing that several hours a day into training for/looking for better job (preferably in another town) not playing a video game.

I honestly do feel sorry for you but Hulkageddon is never really a bad thing for all the miners in EVE. Sure, hulks die but this is normally because they choose to gain profit over protection when fitting a hulk. It also creates price fluctuation in the market which is beneficial for when it's all over. In your case though, ' not knowing' was your downfall. Last year I remember CCP posting a report about Hulkageddon in the ' News' list when you log in on the character selection page. I have seemed to have missed it this year or they just didn't put it up. Looking now i cannot see one, so in your case that sucks bro. Because if anything that could have saved your hulk . In EVE though you do have other possibilities to make some isk, you just have to work my man. I wish you luck, Fly safe.

Should be a transferable to CONCORD ticket that has no expiration date and you can redeem it at any time to bring down CONCORD on the guy when you see him mission running some day.
But of course, I should go back to WoW for wanting to play a HARD game with CONSEQUENCES. -- On planets... nobody can see you macro mining... |

Not necessarily, but I think this suggestion goes back to a simple discussion about how much suicide ganking is acceptable to CCP.
Currently, it seems like the opinion is that the current level of suicide ganking is low enough that the mechanics are handling it appropriately, which means it would be unlikely for anything to be implemented that would modify the number of suiciders either way.
If the level is acceptable given the current pros and cons of suiciding ships, then we are as unlikely to see permanent kill rights as we would be to see increased CONCORD response times.

Originally by: Skex Relbore My one and only objection to the suicide mechanic is that kill rights should go to the corporation of the victim rather than simply the victim himself.
Corps can declare wars.
Originally by: Skex Relbore The current system is flawed since thanks to the real time training system it isn't feasible to train a character with both Industrial and PVP skills at the same time.
You can not blame the system for a possibly bad decision you made on your own: Train THIS-1 before THAT_1. Plenty of others got that decision right from their point of perspective.

This is my 2nd Hulkageddon as an EVE player, and I hardly noticed the first one, as I was mining in a complete nube Frigate in 1.0 and hardly noticed a thing.
Didn't lose a ship till I poked my nose into a .4 system and was immediately ganked and then warp-lock podded in a matter of about, oh, 3 seconds.
Have since fought off a couple of suicide gankers, but primarily I'm a Miner, PI clicker, and general all around CareBear who plays Doom when aggro is needed.
But this whining and complaining from my fellow CareBear miners is just....I'm not really sure.
I myself found the very idea of Hulkageddon horrendous, until I REALLY started thinking about it. The game mechanics are not being violated. And THERE ARE CONSEQUENCES FOR THE GANKERS. They lose their ship as well. So, what on Earth are you all so upset about? Seriously, you whiners have nothing to complain about. You flew your Hulk out there knowing FULL WELL what is going on. You have nobody to blame at all, except your own whiney self for the loss of your ship and you all collectivle sound like nothing but a pack of Entitled Trust-Fund Americans (and I'm from America).
I mean really...Hulkageddon gave at LEAST a month notice beforehand. You WERE warned. The rules are quite clear, and there is only one instruction, only one rule, you have to folow, and it is really simple:
DO NOT MINE FOR THE 10 DAYS.
How hard is that? Don't mine for the 10 days, and you will not lose your ship or lose your character, or anything else.
Nothing could even possibly be simpler.
And don't tell me or any other player that there is nothing else in the game to occupy your time during that period. If not, you really need to find another game or return to WOW.
What a bunch or whining idiots. Besides, do you not see the advantage to the Hulk-killers getting rid of all the Macro-miners for us that KILL the market? This is to all of our advantage.
Let them do their job and get rid of the marcro's and keep yer darned ship locked up for a week.
That is all you have to do, so what is the big problem?
Again, it's to our benefit, and there is only one rule: DO NOT MINE FOR TEN DAYS. That is it.
Shut up...you are embarrasing yourselves and miners in general.

My only question is: How authentic are these tears?
Is this just another prank post? I read one already where there were tons of advice & the guy came back on later to say "I was only foolin'" & folks were still giving advice to the prankster.
I started reading these forums before I even left the dock on Day 1 after the 14-day trial. I went straight to Crime & Punishment & just like that question: "What is the Matrix?", I had to find out "What is Hulkageddon?" before doing anything else.
Paying attention to the forums & the online chatter may prevent you from getting killed out-right & unawares.
