1. Want to PVP? Train something, anything other than Gallente.
2. Warp stabilizers are worthless. Never both to fit them.
3. Flying something expensive? Going some place dangerous? Use a scout. Either a friend or an alt on a second account.
4. Faction warfare has its faults, but it's not a bad place to try PVP for the first time or meet people when new to the game.
5. (Mostly) Amarr=Lasers, Gallente=Hybrids and Drones, Minmitar=Projectiles, Caldari=Missiles.
6. Don't try to armor and shield tank. It's either one or the other.
7. If you ship is about to die, keep trying to warp to out to a celestial object. The pod you save may be your own.
8. Safe spots are your friends.
9. Goons are bad people. Very bad; and
10. Rule #1 of Eve- Never Fly Something You Can't Afford to Lose.

11. Don't think of Eve as a MMO, think of it as a FPS. This means you won't care (or whine) when you lose stuff.

1. The activities or so called "game play" in the game are stupid. Only the social sandbox makes this game worth playing. 2. It's much more fun to be a villain than a nice guy. 3. Industrial professions get worse and worse over time.

But armor, shield, AND hull tanking are OK. :P
Something I really wish I'd known was EFT ... I'm ashamed at how much money I've ****ed away buying modules that don't fit on my ship, require too much power/cpu, whatever.

Sorry, not true at all. Gallente is an excellent choice for a race if you want to pvp.

2. Warp stabilizers are worthless. Never both to fit them.
On a combat ship sure, fit to win, don't fit to run, but there are plenty of reasons to use WCSs on other fits.

Well, I lived and flew with Goons in PB and Delve for a good while, and I can tell you that they are a good bunch of guys who just want to have fun their way. Yes they prey on the weak and stupid, so just don't be weak or stupid and you have nothing to fear from Goons.

I love that CCP encourage that sort of thing, makes trust all the more valuable. Especially since there's only one person in EVE that actually can be trusted

tbh I'm happy I knew **** when I started, that's how I learned, FOTM and all that seems pretty useless looking back at how things were done and all that. So for me, being an old player, I don't regret knowing nothing when I started as I feel it was more fun finding out on your own than reading a manual on doing X or Y.

Not trolling at all. Like I said, I lived and flew with Goons for a better part of a year.
Unless you are stupid you have nothing to fear from Goons. They play Eve to have fun, they are just like you.
There is nothing scary or bad about them.
Sure they may be immature, but remember; this is the internet.
If you are so convinced I am naive about this, tell me one "bad" thing about Goons. Sarcasm - Because i'm too far away to strangle you. |

1. HICS have an unlimited Point, warp core stabs won't save you. 2. Sensor boosting snipers will pop your pod when you undock at 4-4. 3. Use dotlan maps . 4. Assign the gangs drones to fast tackle to decloak ships. 5. Use the string function in assets to find a specific item.

102. Blobbing the node to death is the only strategy
103. Lagg will never get fixed
104. 50% of online 0.0 players are macros the other are docked bragging about how elite they were because they blobbed a noob ship
105. Unholy Rage comes once every 6 years and thanks to stupid loopholes macros get away with it
106. Jita sucks!!
107. Mining is boring, in a way you kindda understand why some macro ******s use macros

Problem with Goons is their posters tend to repeat what some other fat guy said on some other forum, other than that they are pretty chilled and decent and much like all the other 0.0 alliances blob, mass NAP and talk ****.
