Prereq. would be salvaging lvl5. If the salvage boat had 8 high slots one could fill them all with t3 salvagers. t3 salvagers could only be fitted on the savage dedicated ship
Annother idea would be giving the salvage ship a bonus that would be modiffied by a spaceship command skil - salvager Let's say one can only fit 3 t3 salvagers on the ship but for every lvl of "salvager" one can add annother salvager meaning that only lvl5 trained would allow 8x t3 salvagers on the ship.
I also think that if the ship could fit 8 t3 salvagers allowing it to salvage 8 ships at the same time there wouldn't be a need to modify drones to help out
I'd also make a restriction that a t3 salvager cannot pull/salvage a yellow can cause that would make the job for salvage thiefs to easy

Turns out the answer is "no", unfortunately (or at least "not without programmer support"). The tractor beam doesn't actually fire when the drone gets in range, plus I realized afterwards that when you recall the drone it stops attacking, so the tractor would switch off then anyway. Assuming the code to get a drone to put a tractor beam on a wreck is done, the act of recalling a drone afterwards is unnecessary. OldEngage() {travel to target; tractor beam target; wait;} NewEngage() {travel to target; tractor beam target; travel to mothership; orbit morthership;} Requiring the player to explicitly order the drone to return with target is too much micromanagement. How would the player know when the tractor beam is activated anyways? Bribe programmer with slow roasted ribs and beer.
The Recall function stays the same. Recall() {turn off mods; travel to mothership; enter drone bay;} This is still handy if a drone gets attacked.

How about a deployable graviton bomb that sucks all the local crap into a big ball of wreckage. The player then deploys a warp core to the crap ball and warps it to a local station where it gets melted into minerals and forged into new shiny things.
Why are rigs made from junk anyway?
The fact that most ISK is injected into the Eve economy from shooting suicidal red crosses is FOF (Full o' Fail) anyway.
Just think of all the nasty thing people could do with warp technology.
