The ship you are piloting is too damaged to be handled in space. You do not have the skill to manage it in its current state.
Iam stuck in a station... The station nott have any repair thing.. and i cant undock and do some repair..
HOW?
What skill?

The "skill" isn't meant in the context of a "skillbook", it's meant as in "the ability to". Funny message, haven't seen it ever.

I have had it with my drones a few times too, they were to damaged to obey my commands. Don't know of anything that would solve the problem, I just kill the drones myself then.

I know what's wrong. The ship was propably flown by someone with a higher Mechanic skill than you, and damaged a lot. Let me put in some numbers to explain:

Ship has 1000 hull hp base. Pilot A has Mechanic L5 => 1250 hp. Ship takes 1200 damage. Player B has Mechanic L2 => 1100 hp. If Player B were to enter the ship it would have -100 hp.

To fix, find someone with a high Mechanic skill and get him to board it and repair Smile

Armor damage doesn't prevent you from undocking, only hull. The solution is to find someone with high mechanic skill take it and use hull repairers or take it to another station with a repair facility as stated above.

Edit: All of the modules that effect hull hp are based on percentages, so in theory if you could fit enough to counteract the negative damage you could undock. The modules are Reinforced Bulkheads.

It seems that since the last patch, whenever you exita ship it goes back to its base values.

My indy for example ejects all my giant cans and goes back to 6km3 cargo space whenever i select a diffrent ship.
So having Mechanic lvl 5 and 95% hull damage would mean that when you exit your ship it will get -something% hp.

Send in a petition, gms can fix the hull back to usable levels and dont forget a bug report. This bug was crushed quite some time ago and needs crushing again Razz

I know before exodus when my MOA was really damaged and i unfitted it's 400MM armour plates i couldn't use the ship. When i did put the armour plates back on i could use the ship. Seems to me also armour damage can prevent you from undocking (or is this changed after exodus ? )

I know someone had taken alot of hull damamge and ejected in space and count board the ship again because the ships basicly had 0% hull left. Like if you take alot of hull damage and only have 5% left its basickly your skills holding the ship togheter due to the hull bonus and when you leave the ship the bonus is terminated along with the rest of your ship. But since you are docked and can enter the ship I guess you could try with someone with higher skills or put on some modules that increases your hull

I actually had this same broblem after a Cruiser fight with a Corpmate. I had 2x 800mm Plates fitted and after the fight I ended up with 8% Armor (still 100% Hull). I stupidly unmounted the plates, therefor taking me to negative values of Armor! Very Happy
Soon as I stuck them back on I was fine...

and the answer, based on my experience is: hull damage is the issue and you can boost your hull hp temporarily by installing bulkhead modules. This will allow you to undock so you can self repair with hull repair modules.

I actually had this happen to me last weekend. I messed up running Level 4 WC and made it out with 60% hull (saved by my DCU II, yet again). Anyway, when I docked in the station, I fitted hull repairers and armor repairers, as I always do in such situations, and attempted to leave. It wouldn't let me take the ship outside. So, I had to pay 3 million to fix my hull and some of my armor, then I could leave to repair my armor.

I think it won't let you leave if you have lost a certain percentage of your total HP.

had this yhappen to me several times after limping home in a sorry state after missions went pear shaped in my bc.

easiest way to remove ship from hanger and fly it (assuming no repair shop) is to remove all modules and stick as many armour plates on as possible, ie. more than it already had, undock, fly to decent station or rep.

hope this helps..... IT WORKS!!!

ps there seems to be some confusion above ...THIS WORKS!!!

Get yourself some reinforced bulkheads. They'll increase your structure points enough to let you undock.

This happened to me today. I had no hull damage, only shield and armor damage. I docked at a station to fit the repper in my hold, but couldn't get out, and the station had no repair facilities. If I put my plate module back on, I could get out but not repair; if I put my repper back on, I couldn't exit again. I petitioned, and was told to log off and back on. After that I could exit with my repper fitted and repair my ship.

Your best option is to petition, GM's are at least they where in my case quite helpful and will fix the problem without giving you to much trouble about it.
