Just wondering how people use their alts. I have a support trained alt waiting to "specialise", had plans to use it to generate some ISK but not sure what route to take.
How do you guys make use of your alts? |

my main is all about pvp skills, my alt is all about indutry, invention, pi and suppoert skills.
your alt should be complementary to your playstyle, and be able to generate isk to support your main playstyle, and be ready to stand in as it were when needed.
the eve ad the power of two is very correct, you can do so very much more with a second account.. |

My alt has the same amount of skill points he was born with.
He just sits in a market hub and checks prices for me.
My main does not have enough skill points to waste any of them on my alt.
You want fries with that? |

One is a corp CEO for FW corp so I can jump in and out whenever I want. The other is a tax shelter corp CEO when I want to be left alone. They have a few secondary skills, but I hardly use them.
If I tried to make a type of coffee that made all of you happy, and you rated it, the group score for it would be about 60 out of 100. Break into 3 or 4 coffee clusters, and made coffee just for each cluster, the scores would go from 60 to 78. The difference between coffee at 60 and coffee at 78 is a difference between coffee that makes you wince or makes you happy. |

One of my same account alts is holding Lana Torrin's Corporation, another is in Jita.
Alara is my main and I don't buy into this second account jazz.

Alt1: Forum Post.
Alt2: Former PvP character including caps, currently unused due to high clone costs.
Alt3: Jack of all Trades - hauling, trading, some basic production, research, cynos +capable of flying all subcaps excluding BLOPs, including all BS V and any T2 weapon system - mostly used for hauling and trading for the same reason as Alt2. People tend to hate broad characters like that, but I consider him really useful.
Alt4: Station trade
Alt5: PvP - frigates only, cyno
Alt6: cyno
The remaining slots are filled with placeholders for names I considered good/funny and only used for scouting in noob ships/pricechecks if at all.

Alt1: main
Alt2-3, on the same account: price checking, bookmarks in hostile space, other once-off "this is not really a player" stuff.
Alt4, on a separate account: historically, this alt's role is "destroy my interest in EVE Online to the point that I biomass and unsub." Seriously, all that my second accounts ever do is form a suicide pact with my main account. This has happened, uh, four times, that I can remember. Apparently this is unusual. |
