Sorry for delays in sourcing, but all bonk prizes should be out now.
Yep, I just started a new job, so it's a little hectic. Plus Blink is growing, not shrinking, which accounts for staff working harder to keep up. We'll be hiring again soon! |

Thanks A.D.W, supprised i did not notice 10 trillion increments of bonks. So the next question i pose is could you give an eta, i am aware of the large portion of disposable isk at your hand. |

Hi all,
Looking to have my gf buy me a 60-day GTC from shatteredcrystal via SOMER.blink.
I've been looking over the websites and obviously this works as people have been recommending it but I was wondering how somer.blink can tell you've bought a GTC and who to send the 50mil ISK and 4 credits to. I'm sure someone can answer this but was just wondering :-)
Looks to be a very clever system and a fun way to potentially lose me some ISK :-)
Hope to hear back from you clever peeps soon :-) |

Hiya,
Click through the banner (with the picture of the PLEX) and immediately complete your purchase using that browser. It's okay to not use the IGB, just load Blink in your external browser like Firefox and click on the banner there.
After your SC purchase is done, they'll e-mail you a receipt with a number that looks like this: "Receipt #110012345". Return to the Blink site, and click "Claim GTC Credit" right underneath the banner, and type in that number.
If you need help, just toss me an Evemail :) |

SUGGESTION
Common Scenario:
1) Blink 2) Win Stuff 3) Choose ISK buyout 4) Blink more 5) Run out of Blink credit 6) Desire to deposit more 7) ISK buyouts not yet processed
IDEA:
Give the option to change your mind on claimed prizes to transform them into Blink credit, so we're not itching to deposit when we've got a big withdrawal coming anyways, and we can keep on Blinking!

The biggest problem with this is the race condition. If an employee is in the middle of handing out ISK and you switch to credit, you may get double-paid, good for you, not so much for us. It's something to think about though!
If an employee is on, you can ask in the channel to have your choice switched-- just provide them the 6-digit BlinkID. --- SOMER Lotteries SOMER Blink - new! SOMER Escrow Services |

I was told by some employee of Blink that selling answers to Pres Butan is a bannable offense. Yet this is written nowhere on the site. Further, selling answers seems to hold to the ideals of EVE, in which everything can be sold for profit to those that might desire the service or goods.
Could I get a clarification on this?
Thanks.

Sharing the answer to the Butan question is a bannable offense - if we catch you giving away the answer, or if hints are givin in the Somer Lotteries channel, unfortunately we'll have to take away your ability to play Butan. Some people have expressed the opinion that this is a bit harsh, or against the core of Eve, but without restrictions in place, Butan would (and did) not work. We find trivia a very engaging way to get Blinkers involved and thinking about Eve, so we'd like to see it stick around as long as possible.
While some people think it's a great idea to share the answer to corpmates or friends in private chats, they should realize that for every correct answer that's submitted, their own prize goes down. It's this rational self-interest that keeps the butan fun for5 everyone, and we're hoping it will continue. If it doesn't we'll just have to adapt, and find new ways to approach the problem.
Hope that clarifies everything. Sorry it's not very visible on the site; we're trying to get our FAQ re-written at the time so that all the information will be consolidated in one place.

Hello again blinkaholics!
Today I won a promo treasure map, which was interesting. I dragged my alt down to Jita anticipating a long hunt through dangerous space and was pleasently surprised when it only took me two jumps. Also from the contents of the container either Shuurh has something to hide or hes trying to frame me for something... - 100 bags of counterfeit credits - 1 Test Bong (Bong? whats a bong?) - 2 Piles of garbage - 5 Bottles of spirit - 1 Criminal DNA - 2 Imperial navy gate permits
So, from the evidence I can deduce that Shuurh used to clean up (salvage) after the imperial navy. One day he got drunk and accidently salvaged a live criminal wanted for questioning over blink fraud with counterfeight credits. On the run from the law he stuffed all the evidence in to a container gave a bookmark away as a treasure hunt... Roughly.
Also there were a few other things :) - 1 run Navy slicer bpc - 5 Navy acolytes - All Navy Hardeners - Navy EANM - Navy Adaptive and thermic membrane - 3 Navy cap rechargers - Navy heatsink
Thanks a lot blink for all the prizes! Be depositing again shortly once I get some more ISK

Fair enough. I would not have sold answers to the latest Butan had the rules been clear on the bannable point. Which is why I feel it is unfair that I have been banned from Butan in the future. EVE is a very open-ended game, so it seemed to me that selling answers for some extra ISK was in line with the sort of environment that EVE is, that everything can be bought and sold.

I've been playing Somer's various games for over a year now and have had a lot of fun and have won some great prizes. While this is not a sure fire way to get rich, it is entertaining and you can win big now and then. I've never had a problem getting my prizes, and any issued I've had, which were caused by me, were handled promptly by Somer or one of her kind staff. So thanks for all the good times Somer, I wish you continuing success.

HEY !
I got banned by one of your representatves this morning in your chat channel.
I did absolutely nothing wrong but do a slight joke, some guy was asking for a Somer Rep, and I said "Yeah I'm a rep, send me all your isk, it's ok I'll keep it for myself."
That was obviously a joke ... I mean who takes this kind of **** seriously ? I see things being said in that channel all day that are way worse.
So could I get unbanned ? Because this is ridiculous. Way to treat your customers.

Heyo Doc :)
Sorry for the inconvenience on that - we have to be fairly hardassed on the "no-impersonating" rule when we see it happen. Even obvious jokes have caused issues in the past. Happily, it was just a short-term ban, more meant to avoid perpetuation and escalation than exclude you from the channel. You should be allowed back in shortly, if you're not already :)

Heyo king :)
Every now and again, someone sees someone else win a string and this type of post pops up. I'm always happy to address it, though :)
Sometimes, a person (or group of people) wins several in a row because they buy a larger number of tickets to a specific blink. "Buying better odds" essentially.
Sometimes, a person wins several in a row just due to sheer blind luck.
But with over 426,461 prizes given away (not counting the 4,380 free promo giveaways), we'd need a LOOOOTTT of alts to perpetuate a scam on the scale you're suggesting :p
And, as many others have pointed out over the months, every legitimately closed blink nets us a bit of profit. We'd be terminally stupid to rig the system in any way, as it would be the one sure-fire way to kill our business forever.
Equally, if we really wanted to, we could just have open and honest "house bets" where everyone loses. Many other gambling sites, both online and in real life, use this tactic. We prefer there to always be a real winner, so we didn't do this - but if we really wanted to, we could have done so perfectly openly.
If you like, you're free to evaluate our method for choosing winners. The code we use to get the number is here. As you can see, we draw it from random.org, so even we do not know who will win until after it is draw. Every ticket of every blink is exactly statistically equal. :)
You can find their real-time statistics here and several peer-reviewed papers on the quality of their random-generator here.
Hope that helps :)
PS - Always blink on 1. We rigged 1 to win. Role Reform

Hi!
We recently added CN Invulns, is there another prize you're interested in seeing on the faction side?
w.r.t. T1 stuff, to be honest, it's just too low-value to make the cost of handing them out as prizes a workable option. Apologies! --- SOMER Lotteries SOMER Blink - new! SOMER Escrow Services |

I've replied for a job with your wonderful establishment, but I think I screwed it up. One I don't think my response was well written and two I think the fact that I'm a pirate might hurt it. My corp and I always honor 1v1's and ransom's, but most people refuse to be ransomed because "they dont trust us". I was just curious if you guys would post to see if this hurts my chances (the pirate thing) and how many applicants you plan on applying/recieving. I've been a long time fan of blinking and the excellent customer support you guys give. Even if I never get the job I'll still keep blinking and applying for them when they come up :P

Being a pirate won't hinder your application at all, you won't need to worry about that. As for the amount of applications, we've had a quite a few so far.
