Since I am here I will answer your question. Stating that you hope that someone you kill is from a certain country falls under nation bashing. That never leads to anything good and is simply not constructive.

Please elaborate. How is it exactly nation bashing hoping that a pilot is from a certain country? I'm not expressing any sort of an opinion or making a statement about the nation or country itself, am I? I'm simply stating my own personal preference on what kind of targets I prefer in game. Again, how is this "nation bashing"? Based on my experience so far, americans in game usually get the most upset about getting killed, simple as that. It's no fun killing anyone if they don't provide any entertainment in the form of smacktalk and threats.
You can hope whatever you like privately as there are thankfully no thought police. There is also ample room for jokes and smack talk in the game. However making statements about the desire to kill of people from X country in game is making an implied statement about people in the X. It's saying that there is something wrong with them, or different, which makes them a more desirable target for you. You might not mean that, but there is enough room left that people could easily interpret your statements as being nation bashing.
That implied nation bashing takes on another subtext when the nation in question has a majority population which is of a different race than your own. The nation bashing then becomes borderline race bashing. Were I to say I hope people from Ethiopia are getting ganked every day could well be taken to mean that I hope that black people are getting ganked every day because the majority of the population of Ethiopia is black. It's not a massive leap to make.

My point being that if one of the worlds most powerful countries accepts aid in the face of overwhelming disaster, it's pretty reasonable to expect that a country in the third world would need far more help in the face of a much larger disaster..

Regardless of all the idiot posturing from all the do gooders here the response of most of the entire planet has been dismal in donations with governments and the UN whining for handouts. People in general just don't seem to care. I know I don't that's just the way it is. People get sick and tired having others tell them how they should be spending the money that they earn.
We have many pressing problems in our own countries to be sending our cash on foreign aid...

That defense budget is in line with the size and development of their country. If slashing defense budgets was a viable way to fix monetary problems in a country, the USA and UK for example would not have a massive national deficit.

I'll do it even if only a small part of the money end up in the hands of the Pakistani people. Is there a help organisation that gives more of the funding to the needing? Fine, then I donate to them instead. But any donation, no matter how small, is better than nothing.
