Today at 1:04 Eve Time I found an oversized barge mining in Kehour. After repeatedly telling him to leave I opened fire:

I lost her 100 million or so worth of cargo. 7 hours later and at a sec rating of -1.1. WTF is up with this. There was no contraband, I was in an unarmed indy when I undocked. Theres no way I could ahve commited an agressive act and my sec rating is still -1.1.
What I would like to know is, whats the chances of getting the stuff back and why the hell is Concorde so damned bugged when its so damned uber. Please fix the game.

If you logged of after the barge gank and get back online (7 hours later) you still are criminal flagged

Even worse, I don't think there's anyway you can tell if a player is criminally flagged either.

Not sure if it works now but you used to be able to check by releasing a drone. If you were flagged it would have a red box around it.
If they removed that then er ________________________________________________________

No, I meant I have no idea what a flagged player should look like - does his bracket turn red/flashing red or what?
Can't find anything on this website to find out.
My only experience with flagged players since Exodus has been when they have shot me but someone (NPC or PC) shooting at you turns them flashing red brackets anyway......

If you logged out less than 15 mins after being CONCORD-pwned and logged in 7 hrs later to immediately undock in a Badger mk II, you won't get your stuff back.
If you waited 15 minutes to log out after being CONCORD-pwned, logged back in after 7hrs to undock in your Badger mk II, then you should petition.
Either way, it's worth a petition because you might get a drunk GM over the weekend

Edited by: Liquid Metal on 08/01/2005 10:19:18 Flagging shows up as a great thick red box around the ship, and all that pilots items, ie drones, not sure about the scanner though, you cant see it yourself however, to you it looks normal, to them, big red box :)

I was under the impression people that were criminally flagged had a reg 'flag' on their bracket. Much like those in your alliance have the green flag in the lower right hand corner of the bracket, these people would have the red tag in the lower right hand corner of the bracket. The red box, like the yellow boxes of those with low sec ratings, that take up the whole bracket mean you are at war with them if I remember being told correctly.

a guy i know irl was helping me pick up cans after a lvl 4 mission and he accidentalyl shot me (0.3 system) he didn't have any red brackets (except the one saying he's locked you, but those are yellow...) or flags on him that i could see. We warped to a gate and he got wtfpwned by the sentry guns \o/
flagging is bugged, imho.

its not just 15 minutes after you have commited the crime, you also have to stay away from sentry guns and concord for 15 minutes or it will reset the timer.
you probably stayed whit your pod near the sentrys or something and therefor the timer got reset.
i learned that the hard way aswell

there is definitely a way to tell. if you fire on an innocent target in secure space, you get flagged.
if this is a problem for you to remember, then get yourself a kitchen timer and set it for 20 minutes...
there is a fine, but dissasterous line between a fart and a shart. i suggest you make sure which side you want to be on... |

Since the exodus patch there is no way to tell wether you are flagged or not. Like mentioned before, just get a stopwatch or something and set it for 20 minutes. At least that is what i do, just to be on the safe side. It is rather irratating though, there should be a way to see if a player is flagged or not.

Quick question...
Where do you get off telling a barge to leave the system in 0.9 space? _________________________________________ Ask not what your country can do for you. Don't ask what you can do for your country, either. Start asking what your country is doing TO you. |

So, let's get this straight...
You murder an innocent pilot, for no particular reason, probably causing him/her to question whether they should even continue playing this game, and now you want to petition for ship loss because Concord blew you up for doing it?
Unbelievable...

On the bright side, hes gonna refund the barge pilot and stop killing em Barge killing is kind of sad though, people should grow more balls and shoot stuff that can fight back. ---------------------------

IC: The power of God has punished you for committing evil piracy in Amarr space. Amarrians are the chosen ones and obviously you've ticked off God and the normal pathetic rules of Concord need not apply.
OOC: Well I'm tempted to say "how does it feel to get wasted and lose your money and ship for no good reason at all?".
But in this case you said you won't be barge killing anymore so I'll just wish you luck on your next endeavor. Hopefully it will be a more "honest"?
