As the only staff for Hulkageddon who is awake at the moment (Okay..I am the only staff that Hulkageddon has)...Thank you all for participating.
It looks like the killboard api fetch has been stopped. So what is going to count, is sitting safely in Helicity's databases.
Preliminary stats:
843 Exhumers Down for a total of 159.5 billion isk in damages. 504 Industrial ships Down (Noctii are in this category) for 18.6 billion 674 Mining Barges Down for 10.7 billion isk. 30 Transports for 7.5 billion isk. 1 Jump Freighter for 5.5 billion isk. 6 Orcas down for 2.4 billion isk. 2 Freighters for 1.5 billion isk. 1 Rorqual down for 1.8 billion isk. 1357 Capsules destroyed, that's a lot of scrambled eggs.
That's a total of 2061 ganks reported to us.. for a whopping total of 207.5 billion isk worth of ships destroyed and items dropped. (Numbers are approximate depending on possibly one last API pull to catch anything up to that last minute..)
Winners should be able to be determined tomorrow/whenever Helicity gets around to it since we don't have to go and verify every kill mail again. I'd have a preliminary prize report except Helicity doesn't let me near the DB

I wish there was some kind of notification when you pod someone with an insufficient clone. Well, aside from the deluge of hatemail you are likely to receive.

After the final pull and cleanup, I end up with:
Rorqual: l Capsule: 1393 Exhumer: 864 Freighter: 2 Industrial: 506 Orca: 6 Jump Freighter:1 Mining barge: 676 Transport: 30 Echelon: 1
3480 Ships killed (212.77B ISK)
Note that noctis is counted as an industrial in the eve database.
I'm very pleased with the result!
Even with two months notice, and the scary new thing of API posting, thousands grace our killboard. It seems people do not learn ;)

You will have to forgive my ignorance on this, but since when is killing a ship in low/null considered a gank? Last time you don't get Concorded and the only bad thing is a negative sec hit for the act of agression. It could just be that the purpose of your life is to server as a warning to others. |

If they do count, let me know and I'll add my JF and industrial kills + the mining frigs/destroyers I killed. All in lowsec. -

I had a lot of fun, it was my first Hulkageddon. I was nowhere near the top of the leaderboards but I think my friends and I did a decent job of terrorizing the area we worked. I hope to at least double my output in the summer event
Congrats to Burseg Sardaukar and General Tso's Alliance, well done.

I just simply don't understand it. 2 whole months notice. Enough time to learn 2 or 3 different things and try something new. But no, they don't. They still mine without paying attention, and die. I...don't get it. Why?

Edited by: Jade Cargo on 28/02/2011 18:19:37 Because despite all this ta-ra-ra and self-congratulations about ganks, you are still ineffective. You are a drop in the bucket. I don't mean this as a criticism, but merely make the observation.

This is especially true if you look at the guys for the griefergeddon.
They were feeling self-important about the kills they were getting - hey if you guys had fun thats great (to the HAG4 ppl too) - but they werent even denting the numbers HAG4 got. They were HAPPY with a 1 to 10 kill ratio lol ------------------------------------ "You know, my foot oughta vandilize your ass" |

In all fairness, given their disadvantageous position in the food chain, and that, I suppose, GG was mostly a feelgood attempt, they can be happy with that. Let them have their fun:)

Lol I was getting a little irked at the griefergeddon when they'd surprise me on a gate with their cormorants or whatever, but it was only a minor inconvenience and it's all fair game, grief goes both ways and I support it even if its against me. It's what makes EvE so f*cking awesome and far superior to all other MMO's.
edit: spellering
On that note: Support what makes EvE different from the other games! Vote Manalapan for CSM!

I was attacked but didn't lose anything. My excuse is I just returned to the game last week and so had no idea the event was on :p.

I was using a Brutix for a few solo attempts and one of the guys I ran across had nothing bt ECM in the mids!!! I laughed once I looked at the log. No Concord already spawned in the belt, just locked, got off one salvo, and lost lock on everything.

Confirming that Griefergeddon participants and concerned bystanders did save a fair number of miners from us. In more than a few instances we failed where we would have succeeded had one of our guys not got himself caught on a gate or at a station. And even in the cases where one of us was caught and we still succeeded, they still managed to prevent that one guy from whoring a mail, which is still frustrating.
I see no reason not to support Griefergeddon. Hulkageddon and Griefergeddon are two sides of the same event. It makes the whole thing much more interesting. |

can they differentiate kills in the postings? IE why are they tracking kills of ships that dont "count" IE pods? I thought there was a prize that dealt with pods... how do they not count? ------------------------------------ "You know, my foot oughta vandilize your ass" |

No, what's funny is all the miners going back to the belts under some delusion that it is now magically safe because Hulkageddon is over. It is exactly as safe as last week - whether it is more *likely* is a different matter. Game mechanics ain't changed any.

True. On a side note, I was scooting around in my Orca for the entire week, and nobody even target-locked me. So does that mean that normal game time is just as dangerous as Hulkageddon, or that Hulkageddon really isnt a 'geddon at all?
