The code isn't that smart...that's the *total* for pods killed by smartbombing geddons by pilot. Not just at once (Unless the prize is meant to be all at once at which point I need to fix the script some)
And the board makes no distinction between you killing participants or targets...pods is pods. --

Congratulations to those winning the top prizes for my event! I hear targets were hard to come by on my home turf.
I'm thinking about doubling the prizes for next Hulkageddon, if there's enough interest for the future...?

It would be interesting to have a galaxy map with all the kill spots pinned to show where all this hulk-a-wreckage took place.

Interesting numbers...

That's quite a difference.
Agreed. Biggest problem with Hulkageddon is that the organizer has made the incentives all wrong. The focus should be on blowing up shinies, not gaming the system to win prizes. Make 30%ish of the prize pool noob-focused if you like, but most of the prizes and the GRAND PRIZE should go to the guy who's taking out Hulks. Or rename it Leechageddon.

It would be interesting to see the next one take into consideration "quality" vs. "quantity" of kills, possibly even rewarding in both areas somehow. Regardless, grats to all, it was a pleasure watching the numbers climb while I kept one eye over my back.
That hurt, btw.

Very nice. It also seems to work in Firefox, though it animates much more slowly. ______

Yes indeed...I think it should also work quicker in Firefox 4 according to the guys at Facebook who have done metrics on this kind of stuff. |

I was using Firefox 4 when I tried it. It still animates much more slowly than Chrome. |

Hmmm... it doesn't look like it's quite working as it should. I can see players in the raw data who have made 12+ kills using smartbombing Armageddons simply by scrolling through the raw data. The numbers just seem too low to me to be the week's totals.

Did any decently tanked (>20k EHP) Hulks get killed?
I've gone through a couple pages of killmails, and I can find a lot of Hulks with:
* no mids (very common) * incomplete mids (very common) * poor tanks (very common) * WTF mids (Drone upgrades? ECM? For real?) * inadequate shield booster tanks good for NPC (relatively rare)

Looks right to me... Maybe you are counting total kills instead of the pod kills? Running a simple query against my guys yields:
Name Type Kills EF Alpha Pod 6 EF Alpha Ship 10 EF Beta Pod 7 EF Beta Ship 7 EF Delta Pod 3 EF Delta Ship 15 EF Gamma Pod 1 EF Gamma Ship 7
TOTALS Type Kills Pod 17 Ship 22

Odd. On the first 2 pages of capsule kills alone I can see 8 from Captain Sunnymuffins. Is there another reason they aren't being piked up by the script?

Good question...I wonder if it is choking on what a smartbomb is and only selected one particular type...Digging now. --

And, thank you folks for looking at smartbombs...found that I wasn't counting the 'vehemence' 'notos' or 'rudimentary concussion' bombs.
So, with a little bit of extra messing around...
HULKAGEDDONG Captain Sunnymuffins killed 14 pods in a smartbombing armageddon (or two or three or four) Officer Sugarboots killed 8 pods in a smartbombing armageddon (or two or three or four) EF Beta killed 7 pods in a smartbombing armageddon (or two or three or four) EF Alpha killed 6 pods in a smartbombing armageddon (or two or three or four) YinandYang killed 5 pods in a smartbombing armageddon (or two or three or four) Amael Galenus killed 4 pods in a smartbombing armageddon (or two or three or four) Scattershot Lucas killed 3 pods in a smartbombing armageddon (or two or three or four) lolsroyce killed 3 pods in a smartbombing armageddon (or two or three or four) EF Delta killed 3 pods in a smartbombing armageddon (or two or three or four) Commandant Twinkletoes killed 1 pods in a smartbombing armageddon (or two or three or four) MrWrong07 killed 1 pods in a smartbombing armageddon (or two or three or four) EF Gamma killed 1 pods in a smartbombing armageddon (or two or three or four)
The hookers and blow achievement did not change hands :) --

Very nice! Makes a very fun read :-) A couple of things to tweak on the page there: The ISK and Kills are inversed in the Alliance/Corp prizes. Also "Hulkageddong" is still using the old data (see Zedrik's post above).
Looking forward to seeing who won the final prizes!

I'd be interested in that info as well, especially if it was an 'Ice Hulk' (which can get reasonably tanked while still be AFK). I suspect the Nullsec achievement winners are the most likely killmails to look at though.
[Someone should start a pool for this as an achievement next time.]
Not sure if I want to see the WTF mid, but I used to fit into the last catagory when solo. Though I preferred doing that in a Retriever.

I'm just curious as to why pod kills are getting space on the Hulkageddon killboard... since when has a Capsule been a mining ship? Once you've blown the Hulk, or whatever ship, you no longer have a target that fits the categories of miner/hauler/other industrial. Does this mean next time I can rack up pod kills of people who I shot out of a Rifter or Dramiel? If you allow one you gotta allow the other

the actual hulk-kills should count imo.... not the pods
that way, much more ships would get destroyed since the security hit aint that big ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Never trade the thrills of living for the security of existance! |

They had an achievement related to pods this time around, so the KB was setup to count them easier.
Made sense to me, though I understand why it can be a sticking point.
