Why all of u just dont die at the same moment...stupid gankers, eve is one of the rarerest games that its not really necessarily to shoot someone to gain money...and u want to ruin this game too...if u have too much adrenaline in the blood, and too much ammo in ur cargoholds just sell it, reprocess it, or go in null sec to use it in real fight...a skilled player that shoot an unprotected miner,well, its just a covard,a stupid griefer...**** u helicity,u and ur stupid hulkageddon...

I don't understand why people some have themselves worked up over this. What's the difference between a random gank taking out an unarmed ship and Hulkageddon? Absolutely none, aide from the fact that it is an event and there is prize money that makes it different.
And before you call me a "stupid ganker", let me tell you I'm a carebear hauler and industrialist. I lost a wreathe in the first two weeks by a gank under an alt after joining EVE. And I approve of this event.

I would support henocide of agentrunners but I think it's too much effort for local public ,

I'm a miner and industrial hauler most of the time and as such am exactly the sort of person to be a prime target during Hulkageddon. Yeah, I think it's a bit of a pain in the ass - BUT I'm not gonna complain or whine that it's in some way unfair. To those miners going "you're meeeen blowing up defenceless ships!" I will say this: wake up to the fact that you can be ganked any time at all, NOT just during Hulkageddon. Someone could come along today and blow a hole in your hulk. At least you know when Hulkageddon is, so if it really bugs you, stay indoors or do some missions or something. The rest of the time, everyone else is still free to gank you.
Also remember that you're not defenceless as a miner. Concord are out there and that gives you a chance. If you have your wits about you it's very easy to avoid being blown up - hulks especially can fit good defences. If you're afk when it happens, well, really you deserve to be shot at.
I'm not gonna applaud Helicity for setting up this event, but to all the whiners, learn to diversify for a week and get over it. You're giving the rest of us a bad name.

I am a miner too, and also new to the game, but I have to say I like the idea of this event, what I cant understand is a normal suicide gank, the fact that it is a scedualed event is actualy entertaining and challanging, the normal suicide gank is just annoying.

IÆd be interested to see the sales figures for Kleenex during this Hulkathang. Used by miners to mop up the tears, and by gankers to mop up theà well you know ;) Perhaps Helicity could organise some kind of sponsorship deal?
CÆmon miners stop crying youÆre giving us a bad rap. Our profession allows us to make heaps cash when others cant: Watching TV, cooking dinner etc. We donÆt loose cash daily to pvp so we have enough to loose one hulk if we choose to take part in this. If we donÆt want that then we donÆt take part. Simple. We donÆt fit cargo expanders of any kind and we donÆt use active tanks. We donÆt mine in 0.5 or 0.6 systems, or even 0.7 or 0.8 if we are total wimps.
Remember, no matter how tanked your hulk, or how safe the system, the gankers can always bring enough ships to kill you. if that is unacceptable then go do something else. ItÆs only for a short period :)
We have plenty of warning so if we mine during the event we are taking part in the event, or not giving in to the terrorists :)
Above all, donÆt allow gankers to baste themselves in your tears and pop themselves in the oven until golden brown, youÆll only be jealous of their fine tans.

Some people really are born to be victims, they just don't bother to think that there may be ways around all this, but instead of having some fun thinking up ways to avoid getting ganked, they prefer to whine and cry like spoilt brats.
Good luck with the event people, the sensible miners will dock up or will have some tactics in place to prevent them being such easy kills, the rest will just continue to be victims, there is no help for them.

Yaay, hulkageddon and all that jazz. Fun times; fun to see all the miners that knew about this for months in advance cry because they decided to go mining anyway. Fun to see mineral prices spike on my industrial alt. And fun seeing the inevitable videos of huge destroyer ganks set to 'yakkety sax'
And I just know I'm going to get flamed for this with screams of 'cry moar carebear!' and other incoherent screams of virulent hate from armchair spacemen, but I always have to wonder, when I read threads like the hulkageddon threads; Why the irrational hate towards so many industrial types from so many PvPers?
Sure, they don't go out and yarr, or take a a billion isk faction battleship into a fight to get it popped for the lulz, or dance around in front of you with a sign saying 'free killmail!' but that's the thing about EvE. It has a functioning economy, and if everyone went out to be pirates and nullsec warriors, the economy would dry up pretty quickly. Mostly, player made modules (Those Tech 2 things you like to fit on your HAC) would dry up, and then we'd all be stuck using faction crap, which is either so expensive you just spin ships all day, or totally outclassed by its T2 counterparts.
That said, what's the cheapest, best ship for suiciding during hulkageddon? I keep seeing the Thrasher tossed about. Makes sense, of course. It's got lots of pew pew. And it's cheap as sin.

I dont mind hulkagheddon, I just dont mine whilst its on. My only issue with it is you cant pre-empt the gankers with defending ships which is a problem with the game mechanics. If you know that band of frigates that just warped into your belt is about to gank your hulk, then your mate in his battleship guarding you should be able to disco bomb the hell out of the attackers before they shoot you and not get concorded.. Putting a tank on a hulk dont work during hulkagheddona as there is to much dps produced from the horde. Not being able to take the fight to your enemy is a major problem. I understand you get kill rights but you should not have to lose a ship first to be able to defend yourself.
To compensate for the inability to defend yourself sterner penalties should be given for killing non red targets (not just for hulkagheddon but other types of suicide ganks)
Not meant as an anti hulkagheddon rant, this is eve you should be able to do what you want but would be nice for game mechanics to let you defend yourself.

My biggest complaint about Hulkageddon is this... as a newbie that still hasn't fully trained enough to even fly a mining vessel there's really nothing I can do to participate. I can't afford to donate, and if I got a kill on my one cruiser the financial impact would be felt far more greatly than to you all graybeards out there.
Next year, though... next year...

Get a noob ship, fit some not-civillian guns on it, then look for a fleet. Or offer to scoop loot for a ganking party.
Even if you were a 1 day old toon on a trial account, you can participate. There's no such thing in eve as 'not skilled enough'. Even the free ship you get has guns that can kill things.
