I'm not sure what I'm contributing by posting here, because other people have tried contacting my school's network guys (Cal Poly).
But yeah, i can't connect. It just started today, i was online late last night

And to stay on topic, I was able to connect to the test server once. For some reason I was stupid and closed the window, and i can't reconnect anymore

From the Cal Poly ResNet tech guys:
Quote: We have found a fix for the problem and we will be updating our system over the winter break. When you return to school the game should work.
Good news: They're fixing the problem Bad news: No Eve for the next month. :(

That's happening to me as well. Not sure if it's related to this, but it started happening about the same time.
Error message: "Could not connect to the specified address. Odds are that you have not established an internet connection, the server isn't running, or the server address or port number was wrong"

This is a radical idea I forgot to mention, perhaps the Singularity server is just down now. I don't know anyone who regularly logs into SiSi, so I can't check that this is true though.
Well, by golly, you're right. Now I feel dumb

Originally by: Bacon Baron Cal Poly update: While I highly doubt that ResNet did anything, I was able to log in just now. Can anyone else here at CalPoly confirm?
I got on once a while ago, but logged off to try again and see if it was actually fixed. Current status: can't log in

You may be misunderstanding as this typically isn't a firewall function, but if it IS indeed their firewall I'd REALLY like to talk to them. If they're willing to email [email protected] I might be able to help them sort through it. Coincidentally 2 weeks is the patch release cycle for the product we thus far believe to be the source of the problem.
Just to clear things up: You said the problem product is updated one Mondays, right? So would the next update be December 6th or 13th?

Well its on the 6th now and I still can't log in...
Same here. I'm assuming my college is dumb and won't apply the patch till 11:59pm tonight, so I'm not getting my hopes up until tomorrow
