As I mentioned in another thread yesterday, we've been moving development branches over the holidays, and are in the process of setting up our automation to work with these new branches. However, it's not quite as straight forward as adding a new branch and starting a build; we're also implementing a new security policy on the system, upgrading the system to it's next major revision, and fighting the Mac servers to try and get them to successfully store the correct credentials to connect to a Windows based network.
We're trying all we can, and I can assure you it's as much a frustration to us to change, as much as it is for you to not have a patch.

Edit: On a second thought, just abandon Apple users, they can use Wine like Linux users. Shouldn't be too hard.
You know, all I ever hear is how Mac users are always being A**holes and blah blah blah. But all I ever see is Windows fanbois complaining about Mac's/Mac users when they should really just worry about their PC issue's. You don't like Mac's, good for you. You have a PC, good for you. Why does the fact that we have Mac's bother you so much?
As for the topic, I would much like to see a new Sisi download for Mac's so I don't have to wait 5 minutes to boot my PC up. But take your time CCP, we can wait.

Spend as much on a pc as you did that mac and you won't be waiting 5 minutes. I run a quad-core 4gig mem 1gig vid and take less than a full minute to start playing any game currently installed.
Cost me $875 the 22 inch flat screen i got a $150 rebate on. so a total of under $1000
Outperforms a mac in every way that i use it for. I am a gamer. I also have a much larger choice of games to play on my pc.
I suppose i could spend almost double on a mac and download windows so i can enjoy the same games.

I think this is because you are cramming windows code to be used in macs, it would probably be easier if there were native code for mac instead of using cider.

The whole Mac vs Windows debate is quite ridiculous, some people prefer Mac, some Windows, other Linux but .....
For all those Windows fans that keep thinking Macs are the worst; Mac's are very powerful when compared to there Windows alternatives, for instance the latest Macbook Pro would be hard to match with a Windows machine even if you spent the same amount as you would on a Mac. There's very few Windows laptop's with integrated memory controllers, there's also very little Windows laptops with multiple graphic cards in them (but all Mac laptops have them as standard) and the build quality of a aluminium laptop vs something made from plastic lego pieces is quite noticeable. Mac OS X is also one of the only commercial operating systems that focusses more on performance over features.
Just because a Windows machine has a slightly better specification doesnt mean its anywhere near the powers of its Mac counterparts, Mac's cost a lot for a reason there build quality and components would blow any Windows machine out of the water.

Every Windows Laptop with an AMD CPU or an Intel Core ix series CPU has an integrated memory controller, its on the CPU duh, and pre Core ix Series it was in the Northbridge. Also can you point to any Mac laptop that has multiple graphics cards? Looking at Apple's current lineup seems to suggest they mostly use Nvidia 320M and 330M which are pretty cheap chipset GPU's that use shared memory. I'm not bagging Apple here they are good at what they do and as a result I own Apple products, but seriously if your going to try and troll at least have a slight clue.

The MAC vs PC discussion is pointless, the one will never convince the other, and both platform have their pro's/cons, regardless of the details. so can we please get back to the constructive conversation about the issue at hand?

Agreed, thats why I use both. I would argue this is also the best solution to the issue that your having here, I realise that you don't particularly want to run Windows on your Mac, but it would allow you to run Sisi until they sort out the Mac patching issue. Alternatively you could try running the PC client with Parallels or VMWare Fusion?

Seems to be a new patch, although you can't go from the latest sisi version to the new one.. have to either do a TQ to sisi or download the full sisi build.

Every Mac laptop has dual graphics card, a Nvidia 320 / 330 and an Intel GPU and the operating system switches between the two depending on the load. Sorry your right there, AMD has some CPUs with the integrated memory controller and then theres the rather recent Intel i7, Mac's have been capable of this for years.
I wasn't trying to troll, just figured I would stick up for Mac's on a Mac thread since everyone replying on here seems to think people should just switch to Windows to get Eve working. Im not knocking Windows, its good at what it does, and Mac's are good at what Mac's do.
