I've had it with all these funbears enjoying their game.
There are people who are still smiling even when their ship blows up, or when invention fails.
Is that really what EVE is about? Fun without risk?
No.
We have to stand up, as a community, and let CCP know what we really want.
We want learning skills back, but harder to train. We want the game to reward only those willing to be bored for months on end. We want anyone who suggests a change to make things more convenient, or entertaining, to suffer some terribly ironic twist of fate.
Say, someone who complains about suicide ganking should have a CCP employee stalk them around and suicide gank them everywhere.
We want whoever plays different from us to be nerfed. We want the pirates to be locked out of everywhere, and we want mission rats to use a 'remote jump drive' to throw carebears into Amamake.
We don't want new content, we want old content to be made even less intuitive. We want to rage at all your attempts to improve the game, rather than serving our lord and master Lag.
But I digress.
I have a simple proposal. All it would take is some sort of visual recognition technology, say, a modified webcam.
It would scan a players face and, upon witnessing any signs of joy or 'fun', immediately lock the game up until they put on a proper visage of depression.
Is it fair to us bitter vets that these young players come in and destroy eve with their fun? No, it's not.
We should also have a computer attachment that punches you in the face when you get podded. ISK is cheap to replace, and there's no -real- risk unless the videogame also punches you in the face.
EVE needs to get back to it's roots (chest beating, spreadsheets, and acting tough on anonymous internet forums). All this 'fun' you keep working on is going make bitter vets feel bad. |

nice meta thread you colossal waste of a perfecly good, no scratch that, the oocyte that sustained your development into a zygote was probably infected or malformed in some way because THIS is the most rancid, repulsive and stupid thread ever. Just jump already because your being here brings the bell curve down to the negatives. Everyone here is dumber for having read this diarrhea disguised as demented ramblings posing as a giant wall of ****s that is your post. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I deeply resent many things CCP have done to reduce the game's fun and hardcore playstyle.
However, I believe that removal of learning skills does not effect either fun or hardcore playstyle in any significant way. This is simply a non-issue.
If you want to be angry at something, be angry at The Great Nano Nerf. Not this silly learning skills crap

I know right!
Before the nano nerf, it was a good, pure game. You knew your enemy. It was 5 vagas, 4 ishtars, maybe an odd zealot or falcon.
Nowadays people fly many classes of ship, and that's fun and NOT what EVE is about. |

No, see... Acrior gets it. Happiness, satisfaction and enjoyment are the enemy. All posters are trolls, all playstyles are gimped, bots have ruined everything, skills are too fast/slow, weapons are too (over/under)powered, etc. You need to get back to what made EvE the superpower of Internet Spaceship Pixel Massively Multiplayer Online Station Spinning Skill Queue Management Simulation Games (or ISPMMOSSSQMSGs for short): expressing your dissatisfaction with how poorly your neighbor mimics your own style of play in as obscenely pink a font as possible. ______

lol the sarcasm is strong with this one.
I kinda enjoyed going 10km/s, but it was completely overpowered. Only way my interceptor died was because I went balls-to-the-wall to get a kill or get someone to aggress.

As a side note many of us are not so much upset at the removal of learning skills, rather we are upset that they were not replaced with a different (perhaps, dare I say it, fun) mechanic instead of shoveling attibutes out by the bushel. ===== My mission?
