1 thing I was confused by, 1 thing that is broken:
Confusion: The way you get to take 4 screenshots of the portrait to-be, then pick from it. You aren't exactly given much ability to compare. You should really be able to view the full model of each one.
Broken: Since selecting a character by accident due to prior misinterpretation, my character has now been given a random cloak and hood. It shows as it should at the character selection, but in-game I have a dark cloak and hood that looks stupid and hides my entire character.... it looks like a silhouette! No idea if it's been pointed out, just throwing that in

I am having issues with the new character portraits.
I did my toon, and he looked ok when I logged in.
A corp mate logged in and his toon looked like just the dark silhuette in the chat window, regardless of what I did, douvle click, show info, and so on. My toon looked ok to him.
I relogged to see if that fixed it. No go.
Cleared cache, and logged in again. Now comes the "funny" part: MY toon lookes like that blank silhuette now, and my corp mate's toon looks right.
Opening character sheet, or show info or double-click on myself does not solve this problem.
Anybody else seeing this ?
Anyone who can tell me where to look for the Issues thread that is usually created for new deployments ?

My corpie said his character is a silhouette when it wasn't to me. I'm gonna hedge it's something theyll realise and patch up soon enough, and maybe get us all to clear current portrait caches... *crosses fingers*.....

About the new planetary interactions -
previously I have been able to harvest four resource types from one particular planet, by 9 extractors, 4 basic industry facilities and 3 advanced. With atleast the industry facilities running all the time.
Now I cannot even construct four new extractors, not talking about their drilling heads (or whatever it actually is).

Ships which are jumping to a cynosural field located close to a starbase forcefield will now land at a slightly increased distance of up to 15km. This means that pilots will have a slightly increased travel time to get to safety within a starbase.
Does this include ships that are jumping through a titan jump bridge? What does "located close to" mean? 10km from shields, 50km, just on grid?

I am in Iraq so with our slow download speed (17kb/sec tops), this is going to take days. And let's not forget periodic server resets which interrupt downloads. So I am going to try to use the manual patch this time with a download manager. Love the game but wish this patch came a little smaller. Any suggestions for us? I know many of us play this game while deployed. Thanks

I have similar problem but with the offline installer its 3.7 gigs but i have only 2.5 gigs free space on C and it keeps downloading to C temp however i selected a another drive where i have 40 gigs free space.
Also tried the online installer and i got this:
delete file: C:\.....\CCP\bits_status.txt
the installer bar isnt moving
and then : "there was a temporary error downloading the required files"
I don't have the old client since the repair tool wasnt working so i uninstalled the old client and tried to install the new one by using the online installer.
using XP Prof. 32bit sp 3

^ ^ ^ What he said Ive had this problem before on my old XP machine. 4 gig is plenty for the OS so Eve is on another partition. Definately needs an option where to extract the temp files.

Missing "Dock" command whenever you right-click a Station's link?
Why remove that? Now, I can't right-click a Station's Link in the Agent Mission window and choose Dock. I can only warp to the location by right-clicking.
-_- Please put this back in the game?

if you use Win7 (2000, XP, Vista): 1. Go to Control Panel -> Administrative tools -> Computer Management 2. Storage -> Disk Management 3. Select your BIG DISK 4. Mouse right click on disk box -> "Change Drive Letter and Paths" Here you can mount this your disk to empty folder (if you use NTFS filesystem). What you can try to do: 1. Remove everything from temporary directory on C: 2. Mount your big disk to this folder 3. Try to use Eve patch. This can help. Don't forget to remove mounting after patch and clean BIG DISK from temporary garbage :)
Another way: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Symbolic_link. You can link temporary directory on C: to any directory on other disk.
Good luck
