Is the laptop needed for you to perform your profession since it spellchecks and fixes your grammar? I will not be voting in the CSM election, so you need to go vote to make up for me. |

Glad you made it out in one piece, but yeah, I suppose Eve DOES help you make you more aware of stuff like that. It gives you the mental survival instincts that can be quite usefull, and armed with those, even a basement dwelling fatkid is scarier than he looks.
When I was living as a student, me and my then GF got mugged once while cycling under a bridge. One of them hit me with a baseball bat, which gave me a nasty concussion. The 'fun' part of this was, because they thought I was the scary person, as I was larger than her, they went for me first, with the baseball bat. What they didn't know was that she was 2nd dan Jiu-Jitsu.. when I woke up, one of them wasn't moving with bits of broken baseball bat in places they shouldn't be, and the other was running for his life.

Ok. You live in the UK. You have socialized medicine. Go tell a shrink that you valued playing a computer game more than your life.
While you're waiting up to 18 weeks to get an appointment with a shrink, write to your PM that the UK's personal weapon laws are becoming a detriment to the citizenry and need a good looking at. Of course, your PM may instead pen a bill to increase the police budget instead, and since your live in a crappy neighborhood, you'll never see any of that extra police protection.
And people seriously wonder why Amis are considered the laughing-stock of the human race vOv...?
Stop, Stoic, please: Before you do anything else even more stupid... There is a fine and proper artistry to wielding verbal scalpels, such that the crap-poster you've slashed doesn't even know they've been cut. But verbal bludgeons -- Those are just fun. |

if the option to run is available take it. Only idiots consider running away 'cowardice.'
Failing the first option you should probably have given them your stuff.

Lol all the yanks on here saying stuff along the lines of 'omg give them your bag next time, you could have died'
Fortunately, in most of the UK resistance does not = death.
(I do understand you constitutionally need to have guns allowed in the USA to stop us Brits/Euros taking the country back, i know i'd be straight over with my baker rifle if they ever got made illegal there)
Most of our roaming crackheads/chavs/pikeys are armed with little more than a miniature spirit bottle with the bottom smashed out for smoking their crack, and possibly some needles. There are big city exceptions of course (and the north lol), but this dude was wandering around the southern countryside.
I'd recommend over-heating your low-slots and giving them a good hard kick to the 'primary'. Worse case scenario you take a kick-in, but in my experience you'll prob get that regardless of your actions if the person is that shade of crack crazy.
The OP is clearly just happy that dealing with the 'hive of scum and villiany' that is eve everyday gave him the balls to stand up for himself for once. I realise that most of the inhabitants of this game prob spent most of their childhood upside-down in a locker with a wedgy and this is an unfamiliar concept. |

Alabama, it's like Norfolk but without the webbed toes.
War hasn't been fought this badly since Olaf the Hairy, High Chief of all the Vikings, accidentally ordered 80,000 battle helmets with the horns on the inside. |

I would've given them the laptop. Most of the time the **** they want is easily replaced and not worth risking your life over. Then again it's not guaranteed you'll be walking away even if you did give it them.
Never fight a knife. Always run, with or without your possessions. Guns are a different story but I'm just glad they aren't so readily available to petty criminals here. |
