Cant comment on the char generator, but judging by these comments, I'll be leaving it until you fix it. Never thought so much would be put into an aspect of the game that will only get used once and mostly ignored due to the games apparent primary feature of FLYING SHIPS AND BLOWING OTHERS UP!

I'm unable to modify a buy order although I'm in the same system getting error:
"Your current trade skills level only allows you to issue remote orders with range limited to 50 jumps distance from the bound station"
I docked at the station with the order and could modify it.

and screen goes black again! I submitted bug report 104592 a month ago and was tolt that "we are aware of this problem" I alt-tab to post and my screen is gray!

Upon launch of the client I can no longer "shift-tab" to move the cursor to the "username" field I have to mouse it.
I take that back, I have to shift-tab or tab a few more times to get the focus. Seems like the focus starts in a different place than yesterday.

Well isn't that pretty stupid? I just want to fly around in ships, I don't want to have to recreate my character - it was fine how it was the first time. As it is I can't recreate them anyway - the 'things' my character had aren't an option any more

Seriously, I know the char look is not important at all :P, but when you create a new char you have the option of scrapping it if things are not to your liking after you hit "save".
With old chars that's just not possible and already I hear people complaining that "Gee, I thought I could choose a portrait afterwards" or similar stuff.
CCP, fix it so a warning is displayed when hitting save saying: "Are you SURE this is what you want to look like for the rest of eternity in Eve?"

you set expressions in pose mode, you can pull the lips into a smile or a sneer or what have you.
there seems to be this issue where men just can not have woman's hair cuts. Thus men have shirt hair, or hippy hair. Because I guess it's not mans place to have long black hair. (feels more like a slap in the face CCP)
Also you're character now looks asain, but like a real south west asian that lives in asia, so deal with it, you're no longer a cartoon. if anything I say she's from nepal.
also to toehr people in thread, hoods are in, so there is that at least.
ok now down to the gritty truth.
It's epic fail. Everyone I've shown it to at school (digipen) thinks it look great but is incredibly lame for a mmo character creator. It's more like a person creator that forgot it was in an mmo. I mean these are all 3d artists, so they are blown away at the level of detail, but are just left mostly underwhelmed, I told them more is coming, but knowing that more is coming isn't going to get you more players CCP.
The real tragedy is it wouldn't be very hard to just model a ton of doodads to make it feel more like an mmo. I actually have little issues with the clothing options, it's just the variety is missing.
also why are there 4 portraits? Everyone at my school has been so ****ed off at this, they asked me."can we use all 4?" I told them no, you can't "then why is it there? wtf?"
And then when one pressed save it wasn't the 1 of 4 he wanted, he threw his hands up, and gave up.
finally where did the great UI go? Sure some eve players might be *****y about it but to me non-eve friends that was one of the thigns they really liked the look of.
So there you go, you got a whole college of 3d artist that are wholly unimpressed. yet.. impressed at the quality. same time. The general agreement was the old creator was better for an mmo, and this one is unfinished but impressive for making people.
also no black hair?

Oh, look, good samaritan.
What is the point in the constructive comments anymore ? Look at the according thread in Test feedback, check tons of comments here, search for any impact they have made onto final version. Report the results please.

very disappointed.
Created 1 character on my first account, remember reading that you could tinker about with it for a grace period, so hit save as wanted to see the rest of the updates ingame. Logged out and back in to find that once you hit save your fecked, your stuck with that portrait for ever (unless you intend lining CCPs wallets even more in the future).
2nd account when entering character creator it only has the head visible, no matter what you do/add, you still cant get anything but a head to show.
The only positive thing i have to say for this update/patch is that thank god i didnt have to pay extra for it. Might get better if the Incursions hit okay, but atm, total fail imo.

Known issue. I'm guessing CCP decided, that since this is portraits only phase of the CC, they can get away with all the obvious bugs and the less that satisfactory selection of options. The basic settings are starting to be in place and the potential is there, but it's going to take another expansion cycle to make it actually good.

Okay, I had tried out the new character creator on Sisi before launch, on this computer. It ran smoothly, the animation was fluid, and I had no trouble sculpting face/body (aside from any noticable artistic skills, that is).
Having downloaded Incursion 1.1.0, I'm getting 2 frames per second in the character creator, trying to sculpt anything is impossible as the results of click + drag on any part of body or face only animates 2-3 seconds later, making it difficult to even tell what mouse movement did what.
Logging into Eve itself, I find that the spaceship portion is as usual.
So, yeah, significant framerate drop in the character creator. Something screwy there, and I can't even imagine trying to walk in stations with a few DOZEN of these avatars.
Remaining a silhouette for now.
