I cancelled this, downloaded the full client which when i tried to launch it said it needed to download the new patch. Then said Automatic patch failed after download, repair tool wants to download 1.42GB.
I am now stuck in a never ending loop of downloading fixes that don't fix anything.
I am also running Windows 7 64bit.

When alt tabbing between clients or to desktop, graphics card obviously has trouble and lags a bit, then turns everything blotchy pink colors (desktop etc)

Ok going in and trying to use mad 1337 skillz, i am noticing that the RTP file itself is where the corruption is at. IT IS FAILING ALL THE CRC tests,. Now if anyone has mad skills they know how to fix it.

...samesame here regarding the update download ...initial download failed, but the repair system did work (4.5 hours later)... I think I got lucky ... but, oh wait, the character creation screen either freezes or, if I drop graphics settings all to LOW, it loads, but fails to function once loaded.
Ok, is it cool if I change my name to "Shadow" and just leave my portrait as the silhouette? 
I already tired of restarting the client for the 22nd time due to character-creator-blue-screen-of-death...

Even though I have run Eve as an Administrator, I am still having my desktop stay dark after I Alt-Tab from the game (the game screen brightness is just fine). Are there any other solutions to this? |

nth-ing the issue that the 'Enter Character Creator' load screen stays at 100%, and goes nowhere. Waited for about half hour then gave up. Tried repairing, tampering with graphics settings (still no luck on all lowest settings). I'm only using a ****ty on-board card though so it could be down to that. Game still runs fine after skipping Character Creator. CPU supports SSE2, and I'm on XP.

I have been playing games online for 15 years and I NEVER had that much trouble updating a game. I won't even try to explain the errors, I KNOW you know about it and quite frankly, it's obvious you don't ****ing care like all the other wrong things in EVE.
I don't care about your CCP fanboy replies where you explain to me how the update went very smoothly for you, I know the problem isn't from my end. I have also seen countless posts that describe the exact same problem I have... I know it won't get fixed, I know nobody cares but hey I said it.

I suggest a cup of cocoa.

All I can say is that it appears the whole thing is overrun with people and it can't cope with it all. Some people can log on and get the patch whilst others like myself can't. All I can suggest is that everyone just calls it a day and decides to come back tomorrow to see what CCP have to say about all of this. I bet they'll do some funky mojo business and fix everything. Chill and be patient. I have also suffered a lot from the patch, currently having to wait 9 hours for the original client to download. I still have the patch to come but hopefully CCP will fix the issue for the rest of us eh? Night guys!

Eve is not working for me. I started up eve this morning, and got the incompatible release message. It started downloading the patch. Right near the end it had some error and shut down. I restarted eve and got the do you want to apply the patch message. I applied it. Restarted EVE. Incursion screen pops up for 30 seconds, then goes away. EVE doesn't start. Tried several times, same result. I used the eve uninstall. Downloaded from scratch, no error this time, but same result, incursion screen for 30 seconds, then nothing. I notice files were left from previous uninstall, so I used eve uninstall again, and manually deleted all the files. I downloaded the installer again, the full client again. Reran EVE, same result, incursion screen for 30 seconds, then nothing. 4 hours have now gone by and EVE isn't working. Any ideas?

When updating market orders, could the "modify order" window please be given focus? It's not easy to update +50 market orders having to manually click into the modify order window text box everytime.

I'm a little confused, the PI changes appear to have obsoleted the old extractors but they cost isk to build is this now appears to be lost as i have to decommession the old extractors to add the new heads

Exactly the same as me
I have found that hitting CTRL+ALT+DEL to bring up the Windows screen, then hitting escape clears this up... until the next time you ALT+TAB out, then you have to rinse and repeat. At least you don't have to reboot though, eh.

I can't even get the game to start.When i double click my shortcut on desktop to load the game, the EvE Incursion window opens and game seems to begin load. Not even a minute later it dissappears, nothing happens at all. Doesn't even make it to the log-in screen

The fix is simple. Change your color to 24 bit instead of 30.

I have created my new portrait with the new character creation tool, without a hood around my face on the portrait. However, when I log in, and on chat channels, the portrait is displaying a hood on my character.

holding down control does not freeze the overview in place any more so one can click to lock something.
This a feature that fell by the wayside ?

Seriously CCP!!!!! What the hell is going on here??? I've spent the last 5 HOURS doing EVERYTHING you recommend - and STILL I can't get my Eve to work. I'm sorry to sound so angry - but i PAY to use this service! - i've sent petitions, I've done this, I've done that - and NOTHING - nothing works - and NO ANSWER from CCP!!!!
Can someone at least aknowledge they have received my emails/petitions please? SO close to cancelling my account - ridiculous!

Pretty annoyed with the UI not remembering focus.
*Upon login focus is always on local, no matter if you left it on corp or a player channel.
*Upon docking at every station, focus is on ships instead of items or other tab you had left it on.
*Whoever keeps rearranging the right click menus should be shot in the privates with multiple tasers.
