Will we read tales of epic fails, when they find themselves frozen in place as they scurry across the torn landscape, unable to dive for cover as the enemy missiles seek their targets, as our space missiles swamp the server?

Or will we be as two cloaked Stealth Bombers, passing, unknowing, in the darkness of W-space, undetectable even on Local?

I'm sorry, I'm confused. It sounds like you think you are entitled to access to a test server as part of your subscription fees. Test servers are for CCP to test as they please. It exists for testing. Testing what? Whatever they want. You should have no expectation to access.

The fact that TQ and Sisi will use the same login database. The change was coded but not testable before the dev went on vacation. Cant remember the dev name sorry.

Wow. Not sure about you but my 14/month goes to playing on TQ rather then on SiSi. I would say most MMOs dont offer a test server to play around on. I didn't even know about the test server until a year ago. (2004 character here). I used SiSi to test out fits here and there, but mostly used it for ATX. I'm thankful CCP has a test server. We as players aren't entitled to SiSi. If you look at the feature page and Eve itself, no where does it state "access to our test server" you pretty much have to find it out on your own.

If you think about it, the long downtime is necessary. They are doing something that hasn't been done before. Ps3 talking to a PC MMO.

So have some patience.

Can we have some SP bonus for this time? just to keep up with the tranquility?

As far as I know, Duality is the Alpha test server, where they test out a lot of different ideas and a fair chunk of them don't make past that. Singularity is the Beta test server, where ideas that passed through the Alpha server are introduced to anyone that makes use of it and the new ideas are tweaked there. Then the finally hit Tranquility, where they are fixed again, and sometimes yet another time. Those past couple of sentences are probably half wrong, could one of the dev's please explain the differences between Duality and Singularity? Either way, Duality is closed to the general EvE public as SiSi is not. So stop bitching cause your too chickenshit to come on TQ and fight with a risk (still no risk, it's a video game damn it), and let CCP do their thing.

No to bonus SP, masstest bonus SP is probable (it wont be automatically applied though) depending on what Habakuk wants to do.

When is the SIS client going to be patched so the screwed up launcher works? The launcher starts up, does some file checking, puts the play button in the top right corner, and won't launch the Eve client. It also reports the Tranquility population, not the Singularity. The launcher has no window buttons, and can't be closed unless the task manager is used to kill the process. And yes, these problems were there before it was patched for DUST.

First off thanks CCP for taking your time and getting it right on sisi. The more time they take on sisi the less problem when doing it to the live game.

Now as for you people that think sisi is there for you toy with your wrong its for ccp to test stuff with our help. You are not losing a damn thing with sisi beening down grow up and STFU.

What ccp is doing have never been done before and i would rather they take the time on sisi then the real game beening down for over 15 days.

Iv set up for the test server and the launcher is not showing any status and the log in is showing incompatable (realese).

Now iv followed all the steps and i thought it was becuse the test sev was off line, But after looking at the test server status its showing over 700player on there. http://eve-offline.net/

I just want to note that they have stated that orbital bombing is something that will be connected to faction warfare. So - if your not in FW, you probably wont be able to bomb them at all. Also - from fanfest they got the coords to bomb from dust guys. So - I believe it will be highly unlikely that you can just randomly bomb. You'll need a dust guy to give you a target and you'll need to be in the same faction warfare group with him/her.

Now, i'm not saying this is 100% fact, i'm just trying to connect the dots from what they said at fanfest. I actually doubt we'll be able to bomb at all until another dust / eve patch is made.

...but this is just my theory and what do I know. lol

Alliance / Null Sec (reportedly) wont be available to Dust until sometime in 2013. This was noted in the CCP / CSM notes from end of May / beginning of June meeting. The notes can be found on the ccp website for the last CSM meeting.
