Jak Savage	Posted - 2011.01.27 17:46:00 - [311] I like this one beter then my first one, my only problem is im a bit far back, not to bad in an enlarged picture, but in the chat window, can hardly see the avatar at all. other then making it a bit closer to the camera I would'nt change any thing else. One thing ccp could do is let you make a temp portrait, then one that just saves to your system, that you could keep coming back to and working on at your liesure, basicly starting where you left off, then maybe a temperory up load so you can judge it in game to before you make a final decesion on weather to keep it or not. specialy with an avatar creator this complex. The ability to save a change to a tempory file and come back to it would be nice.
Chan Tsu	Posted - 2011.01.27 17:50:00 - [312] The first time I made this character's picture I tried to copy the picture from before the new character creator as exact as I could, but in the old creator the avatar was quite far from the camera, which nolonger needs to be the case. You can make more interesting angles and, more importantly, get closer to the camera so that in the very small size your picture gets in chat channels, you can still see the avatar clearly. With the re-try, I made more use of this, and this is the result.

Thank you for the compliment, I like yours too, more playfull than most avatars I've seen, which usually look either dead-serious, or like vamps showing cleavage. My main does use the low lighting, but I intended that for him, as I see him a bit as a cloak and dagger type hiding in an honorable appearance, so the lighting seemed appropreate.

But it's still a bit lame, I think everybody who just created their character should get some 3 time use grace period (Say 3 days) after they created their first new characters portrait... Cause this just doesn't make sence and sure isn't thought trough by CCP.

I don't see why we can't repose the characters when we want... Well actually I do, it's so the servers aren't forever redrawing little images, but it still sucks :p
