#1 These are not mission rats, they hurt more and are smarter like sleeper rats. #2 Treat incursions as pvp situations, learn to call targets properly. #3 Micro manage, put drones on tackle frigates and start dps on cruisers and tank through the bs's. #4 Use voice comms #5 Fleet composition is key, 1/4 should be logistics ships, 1/4 bs's and 1/2 hac / command ships. #6 make sure all the BS's have 1 RR on them and stay close to each other. #7 Make sure your fleet has the same type of tanking, dont mix tanks #8 A damnation or a vulture is a nice thing to have. #9 Practice rr on each other before hand and practice switching targets fast and using the broadcast menu. #10 DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRMUSTANCE SCREW AROUND IN THESE. These are serious battles taking a tech 1 ship with t1 fittings will get you killed. Learn to fit properly.

+1 to Mr Hawk.
I honestly thought the EVE community was better than this (and for "better" read more resourceful and less apt to cry). However, it turns out that the game has been taken over by the WoW brigade who demand that they be allowed to win without putting any effort into the process. Hopefully, if nothing else Incursions will have the effect of flushing out the kiddies who had turned up hoping micro transactions would allow them to become gods on the back of daddy's credit card.
Sorry kids. EVE has gone "old school". Back to having elements that are brutally hard and entirely unforgiving to the casual player.

#11 Bring a Scorpion or two loaded up with ECM. No I'm not kidding, RADAR Jammers really spoil their day. #12 Make sure you bring along some ships that can either hit out to 150-170km or catch MWDing Snipers. Some sites need them, some don't
And as far as point 6 goes, as long as you have decent logistics pilots you should be right to leave the RR off your Battleships.

#13 Where there are logistics structures ... HACK THEM. They are overwhelming your DPS with repair to the Naton ships under attack.

It's appreciated. At least you take the time to offer tips. Newcomers and vets alike do appreciate this.
And to the QQers who complain about this new hard edge being introduced to EVE for your enjoyment, here is one tip I'd like to add: don't do them if you do not understand what is involved or you are getting your butt whipped. There are plenty of other things to do in EVE.

Heh I was nearly done writing an extensive guide and decided to screw it. We'll keep the key knowledge to our corp and friends. It's sad that people ignore tips and hints and simply go on a rampage instead.
On a good point, everything you said is exactly what I was going to say with a few extra points.
- People that wishes to lead these assaults are called Fleet Commanders and while you can train leadership skills. Being a true fleet commander comes with experience and knowledge. Practice makes perfect and you need to be calm and observant.
- Everyone that wishes to do incursion SHOULD have RR skills and have at least 1 RR equipped on their setup. Being mister DPS will only bring you shame and death.
- Stay close to each other, do not chasse unless ordered too. ________________________________________________ Lysianna Hazumason Celestial Janissaries Curatores Veritatis Alliance

Yeah i cant wait for tonight, our hero fleet with our hero scorpion might be going out again.
For a heads up on day 1, our group made quite a bit of isk from day one.
Ok now to help out all the new players complaining about incursions and what to do, ask questions here. I will answer them and try to help you all out. Plus a few of the people I flew with last night are in here too, we will give you some tips but not the secrets.

#101 Do not shoot at other players*, or CONCORD will shoot you. #102 Do not remote rep or provide any other logistics to an NPC pirate, or CONCORD will shoot you. #103 Do not shoot at another player's* wreck, or CONCORD will shoot you. #104 Do not remote rep or provide any other logistics to a player who gets shot by CONCORD, or CONCORD will shoot you, too.
#110 If you decide to fleet up with an unknown group of players, have brought a remote repper or any other logistics module with you, then avoid using it on any ship that costs less than your own ship. Chances are that the Rifter you are trying to protect with your T3 Cruiser does not know, or pretends not to know, about #101 to #103.

I am not a pirate, I liberated all that cargo from people too dumb to hold onto it.
Next, as i said there are a lot of you who may have questions, please ask them. This is one of those rare chances the eve community is going to be helpful.
Well here let me give you all a good hint to train RR. If you own a pos tower set up a lot of small beam and pulse lasers, about 6 total. now turn them on. now make sure the tower belongs to your corp and all the pilots are in your corp / alliance, not attack the tower (better to do this in low sec) This is a great way to learn how to learn to remote rep and use logistics fast. Trial by fire one could say.

Good advice. But I'm surprised that no one has mentioned this one... single handedly the most important tip of all...
~ FIX YOUR OVERVIEWS
Arranging it such that drones and friendly (see 'fleeted') players do not show up on your overview will drastically cut down on friendly fire (and thus CONCORD) "incidents." _______________________

i think the issue with these is people jump into the 20man areas, you gotta lower the influence first, take your 20 man fleet, break in to 4 groups of 5, kill the 5 man area's then go 10 man then the 20man area will be 10 times easier because you have SOME resist and get some DPS back

Actually this is good point. There are different level incursions for different levels of experience. If you are new to them start off with the basics, then work your way up. Clearing out a lot of the small easy sites is sometimes enough to help the more experienced guys clear out the larger harder sites.

I wonder if this is the intention: Use one big group that uses detachments to (successfully we hope) take down the smaller sites until such progression occurs that the detachments converge to the larger sites as the only way to "squash" the incursion entirely.

WAIT WHAT? PLAYERS USING LOGIC TO FIGURE OUT CCP's VIEW ON INCURSIONS??? This game involves strategy now rather than just going in with an afk boat and auto winning?
