Amen for some sort of fleet protection ship (aka. flak gun to take out drones). I would also bring proper flareships/guns for missile protection (proper). In general I would like to see ships with very narrow operational fields. Like we already have in a sense, but we have way too many ship that are for example "multipurpose-do-everything-drakes". Of course this all adds to the pvp where you aren't really sure what to look out for.
Idealogy where a fleets needs all sort of ships to thrive. Not just logistics and dps. Size variety, functionality.
I would love to see a scenario where you have sniping BS with cruisers in front doing the "battle" and frigates going against each others. Flak cannons taking down missiles and drones. Yes, there "is" that, but in truth..how many of you have been in such fleets every month? Or week? It's mostly like 10x bc's, or frig roams etc. You hardly see ships of all sizes in our normal everyday eve.
I would also like to see lvl4's that are designed for different ship classes. It's not impossible to make a HARD frigate mission.

Unfortunately, you need to apply multiple damps to shut down one single ship. Reducing, say, a badguy Tempest's targeting range from 90km to 45km with a ~-50% damp isn't going to really cramp his style. A second one (now featuring: stacking penalties), might bring him down to 25km (inconvenient!). Third one, penalized even further (**** math!), but hey, you really shape the battle by throwing all of your ewar midslots at that one tempest. Arazus and Lachesis have crazy long targeting range and the bonused RSDs already (not to mention better scan res, more nimble, etc.) A BS-sized Lachesis would be a liability on grid.
That said, go to your favorite killboard, call up ~20 random Arazus/Lachesis lossmails and see how many experienced recon pilots actually fit damps.
Damps are terrible.
Maybe a crazy huge 30km+ scram range bonus wouldn't be unwelcome on a Gallente BS. Shutting down mwds in a given area would pretty cool. I don't know. I've given up on Gallente. I really want to like them but it seems that the entire race was an afterthought by CCP.

Edited by: catinboots on 02/02/2011 20:59:35 a dedicated gasharvester t2 , best candidate is the primae hull , tho i bet that will be one of the next new ships we will see, a boost in resist , a bonus in yield and rnge of gas harvesters and capable of using a proper shield tank
A freighter that allows you to haul your own rigged ships wit h out having to courier contract them to a buddy, max 2 rigged battleships
deepspace ammo carrier, was mentionede before instead of a cargo bay it has a hangar bay where you can stack all kind of ammo but only ammo
and last some love for the bantam and its counterparts

How about a new class of ship that, when used in a fleet of this new class, could deploy a kind of net that would disrupt a cloaked ship attempting to pass through it?
Yes, this idea is plagarised from an episode of Star Trek where they used a Tachyon grid (or something equally technobabble-ish) to detect cloaked Romulan ships.
For balance this new ship could have minimal offensive and defensive systems, and/or use fuel.

When's the last time you jammed a target with 1 ECM mod.....you have to use multiples of them too, so using multiple Remote Sensor Damps isn't unfair. Will the tempest warp off, likely they do that when jammed to. However with some interdiction you could stop that. A Gallente Battleship that had remote sensor damps workable at long range would also protect their fleet from sniper fleets, that only takes 1 remote sensor damp per target.

This is a good idea, but it would be a capital, probably have to anchor itself during the mining process which means they are likely to kill you.

Definitely more T3 ships, at least a BS, if not frig and BC too. All should use the subsystem model of the T3 cruisers.
Gas harvesting ship.
Anti capital ship BS.
heavy bomber, trade stealth for more damage, probably put it on a destroyer size hull.
T2 exploration ship, based on either a cruiser or BC hull, bonuses to scanning and an extra utility high slot for a probe launcher, decent omni resists to make it into a good solo ship for sleeper sites.

Are we waiting on comparable Empire counterparts to be developed? If so, are these legitimate T3 Battleships, or just another Marauder?

can't remember the outcome. facebook prolly voted for the tornado as well so they buried it altogether :P

Certainly no t3battleships or t3 frigates, they would only unbalance the whole game, new subsystems yes. I like to see some industrial subsystems like replacing your offensive sub for a industrial with 2 stripminers and a larger cargohold , or one that expands only your cargohold with a base 10 k cargobay

We could also add heavy bombs that will do 250k damage with an 12500m explosion radius (doing same damage as a normal bomb on BS sized and smaller ships).

Exactly, but the whole cap hot drop warfare is severely broken.
So give us specialized SUPER-CAP(MOM&Tit) cyno ships(T3 BC?) and leave the current ones for the "normal" caps only.
As to how? Why not use the current wormhole functionality and just make the cynos recharge the artificial wormholes again after a ship comes through. Only the new cyno ship class is able to open up strong enough wormholes for the "supers". ______________ Mal-¦Appears we got here just in a nick of time. Man, I seriously think this game lacks good hull-tanked ships.
Except for maybe this 'phoon
So some sort of ship that is built into and around an asteroid, and/or one built with random space-debris (wrecks, depleted station-batteries, etc). To be fair such a massive hull-tank could then be vulnerable to mining-lasers.
These would look very interesting, and might have a nice back story added. Hek, I#d be happy if I only got to see some NPC's fly something like them. Your signature is too large. Spitfire

I would like some bs capable of get in very short range combat distance and over facemelt everything stupid enough to let it get in to that range, the kind os ship that asks for a few months of training, high end skills to fit a very energy expensive weapon system and OC armor tanked for the fun of being skilled.

Originally by: Copine Callmeknau I'd like a class of ships with minimal offensive capabilities, but with a bonus to remote ECCM and remote sensor booster. Like an anti-EW logistics.
This actually sounds like a good idea. ahac gangs tend to use some form of ECCM to support the guardians, and with shield / nano gangs this could make for an excellent support ship as well. The ship would have to have a similar tank to a logistic ship. There are a few problems I see with this, one is the lack of mid-slots. In order to have an effective shield tank + projected eccm modules + propulsion mod, you would need 8 mid slots. Another problem I see with this is the fact that they don't really do anything other than give sensor strength bonus's / km *****. In order to give them more of a role I would suggest give them some form of remote rep capabilities. Something like half the range bonus and half the powergrid / cpu reduction of a logistic ships. This way they could support the fleet in a way that wouldn't neglect the need for specialized logistic ships. The ship would simply supplement the fleet with remote rep and the logistics with sensor strength bonus's.

What i would like too see is capital class construction ship. Large, massive and slower then snail, but can build anything upto a battleship and pos structures. Cant use gates, but has jumpdrive so no highsec. Maybe use strontium to generate huge power needed to maintain construction process. Perhaps material and buildtime penalty (not optimal construction enviroment)
