Bottom 10 is a little trickier, since it sort of depends upon how you'd go about defining that. There are only about 40 avatars that have an average accross-the-board score of less than 20% wins (throwing out all of the zero-percenters). Thanks for the tip about the typo, by the way. And to the player who was having trouble uploading his avatar, you probably caught the five to ten minutes yesterday when I was implementing the sex selection and I messed something up on the upload script. I added you to the game, myself. Sorry about that.

The results page for your character is actually showing you a curved average. I'm not going to bother getting into my formula, but it's possible your true percentage is lower. More likely, though, that you've probably only come up once or twice in that category.

That's an amazing customization job. In fact, I just pushed a celebrity look-alike feature to the rotation (it's a random thing--1 in 25 chance of it popping up on any given face-off load), and that's one of the avatars I used for the trial.

Shander Maxum	Posted - 2011.02.10 06:23:00 - [56] awesome I wish i knew php and mysql well enought to do something like this in a number of different areas.. plenty of addsense dollars for this sort of thing geared to a better adverstising niche audience. I really like your phrasing of questions although I'd love to know more about your scoring and offering algorithms. I'm assuming if someone gets judged well for something once, they get offered in that category more often to confirm it? If they get matched against another character strong in the category does the vote against them hurt a lot or is it a recursive scoring model so that the loss to a character with high marks in a field doesn't hurt much. (as the database gets large, keeping scores recursively adjusted would be a horendous processing load I guess ) I look at the college football computer guru's sites a lot and have a feeling of the complication there with far far fewer results. If we liked both characters in relation to a question, and wanted them to both get ahead in the category...are they in agregate better if we declined to state or better if we voted to at least give one credit instead of a passs? Anyway.. i find the whole site really interesting in ways beyond the eve characters...and I also found it sort of addicting ((i spend days on a google picture rater a few years ago ) I'm sedning you 20 million isk for a little tip... cheeers
