Confirming that simply being in a tech 2 ship should mean you win any fight simply because the other party is flying a Drake or Hurricane, regardless of player skills and fitting.

there is nothing special about the drake, the reason it seems OP is the passive shield tank. that should be nerfed.
imho: make all modules used in passive shield tank properly stacking penalized and reduce passive shield regen rate ...

I rather think the drake and cane are fine.
It's just that there is too many lacklustre or downright useless ships that need a *buff* instead.
(example: prophecy)

Nerf idiots, it'll also fix the Drake imbalance and most other ships imbalances as well.

Lmfao man. The drake isn't overpowered, you guys just suck. You guys are a massive carebear alliance that got decced and is mad cause you fought back with superior ships, and have absolutely no clue how to use them, so you died. |

I personally hate Drakes - if I never fly one again then it will be too soon. Still, claiming they are OP is plain silly. A standard 2x LSE 3x BCU Drake will get ****d by a Hurricane hands down (at least if the Drake is closer then 20-30km which should be the case because otherwise he or the Hurricane can simply warp off).
Drakes are too slow to be able to chase anything fast, the tank is too weak to last against any "real" ship with a tank, the damage is pretty low and 99% extremely predictable damage type (kin) and a Drake will have a hard time to kill tacklers fast enough due to missiles and extreme lack of tackle (and/or bad tank if you do opt for tackle).
Bottom line: it's just a crappy t1 BC with all the limitations. The only reason why it's flown so much is because 95% of all alliances opt for large numbers and not for good quality/skill. For that kind of mentality Drakes are perfect... but as soon as a decent alliance turns up your silly Drake blobs will die in a fire real quick.
Basically if you think a Drake is OP then you're a scrub.

By god, we should nerf them so that cost again directly correlates to power.
Which, if you're completely thick, means my opinion is:
1. A T2 fitted BS whose pilot died to a BC deserved it for being an idiot.
2. A HAC that died to a BC probably wasn't well-fit or well-flown.
3. Recon ships aren't fighting ships, and shouldn't win against a BC anyway.
