Now the crow wont add that much, and the curse in a short battle only drone dps, but considering a harbinger and a drake arent that far apart for 1v1 fight + the drake is jammed the majority of the time there is no way the drake can win.

Care to explain ? beacuse they are all faster than the drake, all do dps at range, have ecm support and 30 secs into the fight the drake will no longer be able to scramble anything or run hardeners/mwd thanks to neuting. Best chance the drake has is to deagress and escape or try to take the bb with him between jam cycles. Of course if the gang are idiots and the drake pilot a pro things will be different, but thats not because the drake is op. Any other bc could kill them in those circumstances. The drake is only so popular because its very hard to fly badly (no tracking, no active tank, no cap management, no range issues, massive buffer) and very easy to skill for.

Posted - 2011.05.01 13:17:00 - [19] If the harbinger was using (5) arties and had a cloak/drone aug fitted and no damage mods (along with dual reps and 800mm plate) and the curse had only 2 neuts so it could fit launchers and the bb had no tank whatsoever, then yeah it would go badly (couldn't find any crow/zealot losses by ops corp so don't know how they fit them). It would be especially bad if they didn't actually all fight the drake at the same time.

I believe the list of ships was meant for solo-fights. Also ... BlackBird won't like a FoF-fitted Drake ... ... but i'm not into missiles anyway. Their niche is to hit hard and tank well but still have a decent speed. The Drake is a bit overpowered though. Almost every scenario you can name, the drake will be the best for. The drake is also too easy to train for. You can get a decent fit for a drake in 14 days. To get a decent fit for the other BCs you have to train more. But if you have to train more wouldn't the other BCs be superior? Nope! Drake has the best tank , It his cap stable and with missiles you will will hit your target no matter what. Yeah the OP is wrong in that of course a well fitted and flown PvP fitted BC can out-gun and out-tank a (for example) PvE fitted BS. That's just how it is. Scissors, paper, stone... Learn from it and move on.
