With PLEX at 500M, more people are buying them now than they ever did at 300M. It's a market driven by demand, and that demand just goes up, and up and up. There's no need to try to manipulate things.

You don't seem to get how the PLEX market works.

PLEX supply drops and PLEX prices go up.

High PLEX prices result in the little lazy rich kids buying PLEX for real $$ and selling them to raise isk. The higher the price the more players sell PLEX.

As more PLEX are bought an sold on the market the supply goes up filling the demand.

Once the supply meets or exceeds the demand the price will crash.

500,000,000 isk seems to be about the point currently where players believe the cost in real $$ for a PLEX is worth while compared to the time in game required to make that much isk.

CCP helps to curb the inflation of PLEX by offering special PLEX sales reducing the real $$ investment.

If you had enough isk or enough like minded players you could try buying up all the available PLEX and reselling them at a higher price, But I would expect that to back fire.

What would happen is many players would Jump on the PLEX bandwagon with the high prices buying PLEX with real $$ to sell for isk. This influx of newly purchased PLEX would fill the inflated buy orders, and you would be stuck with a pile of PLEX you over paid for.

I for one would not hesitate to buy a 1/2 dozen PLEX or more to take advantage of the temporary high PLEX prices to inflate my coffers a bit. I could always buy them back after the price drops and use them for game time regaining my real $$ spent while retaining the profit from the difference between sell price and buy back price.

You can set yours at 540M all you want. The 99% of the people that don't read this forum will cash out long before it gets to that point. It's the same reason all the miners can't just set mineral prices, there is always someone willing to take less.

Personally I think anyone who is anyone who is someone who refuses to pay with RL money for this game is more than likely to have at least a couple years supply of PLEX stashed away, at least for their main character(s). I know I do. You have to raise the prices to an unacceptable level then KEEP them there to destroy this stockpile and that will take many months if not years. Once the stockpiles are gone, PLEX can happily go up to billions and the end of EVE for anyone who doesn't pay with RL cash occurs. (assuming there really is as few people who would be willing to buy PLEX with cash to get ISK as I feel there is).

Sounds like OP wants some idiot to post a 530M buy order so they can unload their plex, otherwise they would have pushed it themselves and it would have already bin done.

FIVE rallies, professionally done ones with price barriers and everything done right still crushed every single time.

On a side note there are already hidden channels supplying people with plexes ranging from 470-480M ISK per unit, the ones you cant just infiltrate.

On a side note, no, im not kidding, iv seen several with my own personal witnessing eyes.

If CCP wants to push plex, OK we will Deal with IT. as we would have no choice but for the sake of profits, NO, this can only chase new players away without due research.
