2 questions:
1) So if your cloths are lost when you are podded, is there any way to recover cloths from frozen bodies? ('do they drop' would be another way to ask that) There should be. I want to wear only the bloody rags of my victims.
2) If I install a stripper pole and stripper and a fish tank, are they waiting for me in my captains quarters in every station I dock, or just the one they were installed at?
CCP?

CCP?
The items in your cargo hold get treated all the same. That could drop and be looted by another player. Or they could be lost.
But if you are wearing them and the ship gets destroyed and you get podded, you will lose what you are wearing and there is no chance of looting. In other words, we are copying the experience of flying with implants. Also, jump clones may come in handy again.
We don't have the furnishings for captain's quarters yet. Let's save that for the future. It's its own full subject.
Fair enough. Followup:
If I take off my cloths and put on my 'orange overalls' and get podded and my jump clone is on the other side of the galaxy from where I changed my cloths at, are my cloths waiting for me there? Essentially what I'm asking is do the cloths you buy follow you around eve in your captains quarters closet or are they only available where you purchased them? (sorry not sure if I'm making sense here...)

No microtransactions.
None at all. Not one.
Oh come on! It makes it more fun! Now when you kill somebody you might be destroying something they can closer equate to RL money! The tears will be so much sweeter! EvE is always changing. Just enjoy the ride.

I think this is a really good idea for the game. We all knew micro-transactions were coming. This is a really good implementation... and here's why: Now, more than ever, CCP will have a strong monetary incentive to improve the game and keep it awesome. These vanity items do not impact game play other than to add richer and sweeter tears to the gave on the part of the people who buy this stuff. There may be new valuable loot in cargo holds. That's the only gameplay effect. The only downside is the potential hyperinflation of PLEX prices... which does suck because I use it to pay for game time... but oh well.

1. When I created my character I chose an outfit. Will I always have instant access to this outfit wherever I go? Will I lose it when podded and have to shell out gold for it?
2. Does the new "vision" for waking up in a fresh medical clone increase the time it takes to get back out into space?
...or you could just read the thread. The only cloths that come with you are those that you bring. If you are wearing them and you get podded they are lost, and yes you need to use more 'gold' to get new ones. If they are in your cargo hold they drop or are destroyed like regular items.
Waking up in a new clone shouldn't be any different than docking and undocking post ambulation.

There is already a bong in the game (Linked here). I have several. They will be available in my seedy pleasure hub for a nominal fee.

Originally by: Tutskii Destroyable clothing? Seriously? You are ensuring that nobody that ever undocks uses this, and creating an entirely new class of disco bs griefer that now gets to blow up real money.
New piracy options! Yay!!!

PLEX prices have been pretty stable at about 400 mil today, actually. I'm concerned about it too, since I use PLEX atm to pay my sub. However, in watching it, and despite the speculation, it's still trading at a level that makes sense still. If it goes over 400 mil I probably will be less inclined to use PLEX.
Originally by: Sister Megarea Tying that PLESK system to the vanity purchases, however, means those who do only play to pay cannot afford it, which means they'll stop buying the PLEXes, because they can't afford them. This then means those people paying RL cash for the PLEXes will stop doing so, as their market for those purchasing them just got a lot smaller - Everyone loses.
You know, it should be noted the reverse also holds true. The 'player types' being drawn in because they now have avatars probably care a whole hell of a lot more than us about how they look. Those nubs may flood the market with PLEX for ore-um and ISK... ...particularly because they are newer players they will be low on ISK. I think that's a given. So what happens then? PLEX prices could very well crash big time. I'm hoping for 250 mil isk PLEX, personally. You know, we could be entering into a golden age of EvE here... where the PLEX is cheap and so are the yuks when you pop a nub with a hauler full of short-shorts (who wears short shorts?). It is the fool who looks to the unknown with fear, and the rich and victorious who see opportunity in uncertainty. Just my 2 ore-um.

Edited by: Gogela on 23/06/2011 17:07:42 Monocle? Seems like a reasonably priced item.
I would get one... but I'm saving my ISK for iteration!
With what I have now, and if I sell off some battleships, and scam some people, I hope to be able to afford a pack of smokes when they become available!
...looking forward to THAT.
oh... and fixed:
