No, clothing is destroyed when you get podded, but if you had a stack on monocle's in your cargo hold they will drop like normal.
We are naked in Pods. If we buy the stuff, it should never get destroyed since we dont bring it with us. Read your Lore.
This is getting dangerously close to microtransations. I'm very unhappy about this. I'd rather not have the special items in the game then something bringing us twards microtransactions

I'm replying to you with my edit, so you don't miss it. Losing clothes on pod destruction seems rather silly from the lore perspective, or are you abandoning the fluidic pod concept entirely?
We are treating it as the cloths you are wearing are stored in your pod so you have cloths to wear when exiting your pod at the next station.
So each station builds us a captains quarters each time we dock but they don't remember to provide us with some clothes. Somehow I'm seeing this whole Incarnia thing in a new light.
Microtransactions ruins games. Watch where you take this.

Originally by: Katrishar Again, I think this system sounds awesome. Quick question though.... When we go down to just having 1 "noob ship" style default outfit after being podded, will there be the other character customization screen outfit choices available for "cheap?" In general will you have cheap and expensive clothes? I vote for this.
Short answer is yes. This first pass is simply a tracer bullet to gauge response. The future vision is that after being podded you will wake up in a clone bay in a medical gown. Then you will get your free orange noobie overalls (or whatever we come up with) but there will be all sorts of inexpensive stuff on offer to change into or maybe you weren't wearing your favorite stuff anyway and you can just put that one.
This better be a joke or you've effectively killed Eve and Incarna in one perfect blow. I've been giving CCP the benefit of the doubt but now... well Im in shock.
- This post alone has turned me off of incarna. - Im uninstalling Dualality because its not worth sending bug reports. - If the quoted post is the way its going to be, I wont be making any use of In station invironments (You best give us that 'old in station environment' button) - I really hope getting podded wont force us to have to walk around to get new clothes. If thats the case PvP gets a huge nerf. - If this effects our character portait... Well, Eve is dead.

Nice post, I'll quote it. We've been doing all this work to put avatars in the game because many many people told us they weren't immersed without an avatar. I just found it strange that this would be considered immersion breaking.
Make CQ OPTIONAL on docking (ie we dock as normal then can chose to get out our pods, with decanting video as an option) Don't do stupid RL money microtransactions. Don't remove what limited clothing options we already have so you can make more money. Do allow the manufacture and selling of clothing for isk. Do allow us to quickly change clothes without updating out portrait. Do take the extra time and delay launch if that's what's needed to achieve this.
Hire this man CCP and make him your CEO. He clearly knows what he is doing. Your idea for this seriously crushed my 4-5 years of hope in Incarna.

325000 subscribers/15.00USD a month 4,875,000 a month isn't enough to produce content anymore. CCP over at least the last couple years hasn't added very much new content at all. Incursions were just rehashed mission rats with sleeper AI, PI was and still is too simple to be even a decent flash game, the most horrible forum experiment ever and everything else has been a change or removal of already created content. I don't care about microtransactions for vanity or whatever. I am livid that you all have been sitting on your butts for years because you have no real competitiors and just let everything go to trash. We have just a laundry list of problems/bugs/incomplete content that we BEG and PLEAD to get any attention to , but always CCP is working on something else and even that something else is lack luster and badly designed. just like this Captian Quarters, its got no gameplay value, its not a shared experience (as is anyway), and is not really that impressive. While we were asking for updates and fixes for EVE, CCP replied to the userbase, "sorry busy" and now that it arrives CCP sticks their hand out and said the subscriber money for 2 years of not really working on EVE isn't going to cover WiS and they want some more.
1 U.S. dollar = 181.554103 Iceland kronur 2010 annual average gross wage for Iceland was ISK 4, 353, 083(23787.00USD) At the beginning of 2009, CCP had a staff of 353 people | 165,722(USD) per person per year. I know that there is alot of infrastrucure costs and bs ,but please don't stand there and tell us you are just unable to pay your staff to produce content cause that exactly why we're are paying monthly subscriptions.
April 2000 the company, with Sigur=ur Arnlj=tsson as CEO, raised $2.6 million, thats what ya'll started with, you made EVE and haven't changed basics of it from that point and now with monthly income double over that you you can't even make a full expansion. You all should be ashamed.
Explain this CCP. If you need more money, find ways of keeping subscribers and getting new ones.
I throught Incarnia was ment to bring in new faces?! Why the extra charges. You could give us this stuff for free if you tried. Dont screw your community.

This content can be given to us for no additional charge. CCP will get way more subscriptions from Incarna to justify the cost of making more content. Guaranteed. I am offended that they shove MTs on us after years of waiting and no word about MT.
CCP will take a huge hit on subs because anyone no currently playing eve who want to experience incarna will not only need to pay a 15 dollar subscription, they will also need to buy individual items.
