Is there some reason why this wasn't caught in testing? What is the point of two test clusters if testing can't spot this kind of stuff? Still, if Q&A can't see a transparent cap HUD will be an issue, I suppose I can see how this **** happens... -- Frog blast the vent core! |

Update applied and PI heat maps properly reflect the concentration of harvestable material. Also, extraction nodes now appear to be working as expected. Thank you for the fix.
The patch notes, however, contain no reference to anything PI-related.
Feedback: Understanding that time is limited, it is important to make the time to document, document and document some more when it comes to patch notes and the game's code. This message is directed at both low-level grunt AND management. Fund and schedule your projects properly so that people have the time to document their ****.
Also, that these critical PI bugs made it past both developer spot checks and QA review does not make sense. Please consider crafting a more robust regression testing scheme to ensure that this functionality remains intact with future patches.

Downtime on Friday, June 3 will be extended to 12:00 due to deployment of a client update. This update will fix some of the issues introduced in the EVE Online: Incursion 1.6 patch, including important Planetary Interaction fixes, and we strongly urge all players to install it.
Yet Incursion 1.6 Client Update #3 patchnotes say nothing about Planetary Interaction. What'd you fix?
Edit: Ahh, I see, it's a server side and listed in the full Patch Notes for Incursion 1.6.

You moved the session change timer again.
It would be sweet if it was bigger and more noticeable. Which makes me wonder why you removed the blink thing. Or why you didn't make it an option to toggle it on and off?

Can we , please, have our 'lock target' shortcut key set back to Ctrl+LMouse button ? This Ctrl-only, is annoying, you target anything that you've clicked before you saw a target you're interested in.

Every time I click on something the client tries to lock the object. Its only on 1 account even if I run 2 or 3 accounts on the one machine. Only commenced since the 03/04 Jun patch.

so, CCP, was adding this new "sticky key" function apart of this patch? or is this a known bug you plan on fixing?

Same issue here, locking whatever i click is getting annoying. A fix i've found is to hold down ctrl until the lock target box appears, then quickly press ctrl again. -----

Could you please consider reverting the rendering mode of the capacitor indicator back to proper alpha blend instead of the current additive? There are way too many bright things in the background of the game for this to possibly work as a primary feedback mechanism. POS shields, weapon effects, nebulae, mission / complex particle backgrounds, not to mention the obvious sun. Most of those render on top of each other and it easily becomes impossible to tell how much cap you have left without turning your camera around to find a dark spot - not the best thing to do in the middle of a battle.

To the devs:
I am still getting crashes to the game client with the new patch, but I think I've isolated a few of the conditions.
1) It looks like auto-pilot has to be active. 2) It also seems that the crash only happens near a stargate. So far, it has only occurred immediately after I warp from a stargate (not arriving at one) with the autopilot active, or I am stopped at a stargate because I have reached my last waypoint. 3) I have to be alt-tabbed out of the game, so I'm wondering if it's a rendering issue (i.e. some null pointer trying to get some graphics buffer or somesuch).
It looks like at least a few other people have this issue, so I dunno if it's a specific graphic device issue or what, but I'm thinking since it's so specific, you guys can dive through the code and maybe pinpoint some areas where this could be a problem pretty quickly.
I'd like to be able to once again alt-tab out and do other stuff when I'm on long runs with the autopilot on without having to restart EVE every minute or so. Hopefully, this info helps you track the problem down.
Thanks!

Issues I am still seeing are various overview and shortcut bugs including:
- Overview ghosts, ship leaves the area but continues to show on overview greyed out until refreshed. - Pressing control then trying to lock something works but then it is as if control is permanently pressed as everything I then click gets locked unless I press control again - Pop up message when I try to target a ship which says something along the lines of "This ship is not in your fleet", well thanks for that info Sherlock.
Other issues:
- Intermittent showing of the warp tunnel effect

But now, after reading the discussion here, I checked my settings folder on disk, and found out that beginning with the Incursion 1.6 patch, one specific file started gowing rapidly. This file obviously contains an endless bunch of settings I do not really understand. It seems to be the main settings file. I make daily backups on my mac, so I could compare this file to the one before the patch, and to much earlier ones.
The file name is "core_user_541278946.dat" (don't know what the numbers mean, so I changed them here). This file grew from 300 KB before the patch (and maybe 150 KB half a year ago) to 1 MB within the last three days.
Within the content of the file there is one main difference since the patch: This file now suddenly contains some kind of solar system data which is not related to my settings. Most of it is information about systems I travelled through (or maybe only viewed with the info panel since the patch).
Here is an example:

I am sick of this crap already.. 5 subbscriptions which I will suspend the renewals after I am finished venting here.
We get no responses from CCP just the same ole lame responses, tried clearing your cache? bah. This has to be the worst gaming experience I have ever had, a complete cluster **uk. What makes things worse your chewing through my cash and the cash of alot of hard working people to force **** upon us again, you guys do this every time and everyones gettin sick of it.
Fix your crap, or roll it back and forget your incarna ****, make it optional cos I don't know anyone that wants it. Oh and fire the idiots listed below cos obviously none of them jumped through a gate on auto pilot when testing, or targeted anything or checked planets or picked up any of the other 50000 issues we are finding. Quality Assurance, that's gotta be some sort of joke right? really, this many issues and you have that many testers and they didn't find any of this crap? I recon they prolly did but you guys wanted to fix it after it was inflicted upon us.

So, it looks like some mechanism is making entries into the settings file, where it does not belong (or does it?).
Have to mention that I don't game much, so maybe that's why others had the issue directly after the patch, because they travel much more than me.
Hope I could help. I guess you already know this all.
I'll try to make a bug report and attach the files. Never did that before.
Thank you, that sounds interesting. I hope you manage to file the bug report and I'll make sure we look into it.

Since the unexpected shutdown from last night, we're having problem with one of our moderated chats (it worked, but after relogging it doesn't). Basicly, it seems that nothing shows up, not even the MOTD. It's getting logged, but it's like if everybody is muted. I'm one of the moderators and nothing of the settings were changed. No users are muted. And for some, closing the channel and adding it again seems to solve this problem. But after relogging it has the same issue.
Anybody else have this problem?

Has anyone else had issues when orbiting fails? Along to object (normally a ship) and then, when it should turn in to orbit, it just keeps on the approach vector. Apart from that, Yaay for bpo changes, annoyed about the cap transparency but otherwise this has been ok.. To all the miserable sods ranting, well, no one forces you to play, and as certain people appear to have no understanding of QA, a simple bit of advice, it is damn hard to be a good tester, if you think you are awesome enough to be better at it, then why don't you try it. Or failing that go on the test server and see how that goes for you. Oh hang on would that be effort on your part? Yeah thought that would annoy you, maybe you should go play a game with absolutely no bugs, hang on you can't can you, as there are no games in that state.

Same for me, I literally can no longer run 2 clients where before I could run 3-4.
The pattern of CCP screwing up more and more things with each of their worthless patches is getting pretty sad. The only thing more sad is how they seem to be in some kind of stalinesque denial as to the problems in the game. Ive never EVER had a experience with a game company that is in such absolute denial in terms of problems they create as CCP is.
I doubt I can get ANY meaningful response from any CCP employee but I want to ask. How in the name of god can you justify patches like Incursion 1.6? You added some worthless features like "carbon UI" and in the process screwed up multiple features that are far more vital to gameplay. Are the people who code this game really that bad or are you all just on some form of a Icelandic methamphetamine binge? Honestly I don't know, mistakes in a company like CCP are acceptable but absolute incompetence is not. If I actually had to pay for this game with money i'd have stopped years and years ago.

So patch 1.6/.1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8.9 and counting. Been playing this game for a year had some fun but the last 4 months its been one disaster after another. I really don't understand where you're going with this and obviously nor do you. Time Dilation=controlled lag, FFS that's Genius 0.0 Sanctum Nerf, Brilliant idea gives you 118 pages of feedback and counting Complex Nerf, accident or not Loots gone through the roof and the once a day spawn for 4 weeks after DT was no accident me thinks Mission Nerf, Brilliant idea making LP now completely useless or at least half as valuable as it use to be. JB Nerf. Actually something I agree with New Patch hits us on Friday and hit's us hard stuffing up a whole list of issues. Its a total patch of destruction you're leaving behind you and this game is becoming more laughable by the day. Just logged onto SISI to try the new captain quarters and its as broken as can be. You have 2 weeks until today to sort it out so this will be another patch of destruction to fix. Oh well 2 accounts gone and 5 toon's bio-massing on the 22nd June. Wow what a complete waste of one year of my life lol CCP don't give up you're day job . As I see it this game is becoming a total joke and I wish I could say
