NoNah	Posted - 2011.06.02 10:32:00 - [2] It's one of those ships that are a tad harder to fly than your average cookie cutter ship, especially for solo. It's not bad per se, but different and well... harder than average. As such I'd suggest you experiment with something else first and learn the basics and what you want to do with it. Yes, I know you said solo pvp, but alas the raven needs a more narrow application. Do you want to go torps and toe-to-toe with other battleships also trying the solo-bs race or would you prefer the slightly more allround approach with cruise missiles that will die to the first activetanked ship it encounters(assuming the injectors can keep up with your neuts). Basically I'd divide the possible raven setups into active cruise, passive cruise/nano(yes, I realise how that sounds, but meh, it works), passive torps. What is it you're interested in more specifically? Is it for lowsec, highsec or 0.0? Stations and gates, or ganking plex/missionrunners/beltratters? Do you have any kind of alts to do scouting, gang bonuses etc for you making it "solo"? Parrots, commence! Postcount: 6517

And I choose the raven because I wanted a challenge.
Torothin Phathcom Enterprises	Posted - 2011.06.02 12:37:00 - [4] I once came across fleshdiver's Raven in curse. I watched in horror as he took out 3 Vaga's in under 3 mins. I was in a Curse and I ran. he was using precision cruise missles and 2 heavy neuts and had a pretty decent tank. I would go cruise over torps for range. I could be wrong though.

Looks like it's ~20%/K EHP and 150dps vs web, painter, eccm, sebo and/or whatever else you'd want to pack in the mids. Do you have any PG implants/would you consider a PG3? Medium or heavy neut? How does active shield tanked and still doing 1100dps but only an AB/no prop mod sound?

If you're trying to grab small fast stuff I think you'd have to do something totally different of course. This would work well against other battleships and maybe some none mwd fit drakes(they're out there) and/or other battle cruisers. As always it just depends on the situation, might be a good starting point and adjust as needed.

It's about the same EHP if you rig it 2x explo 1x kinentic resists. Might want 5xmedium and 5xlight drones instead. As for buffer shield fits, you also might want to rig at least for em resist, if not put a photon hardener and a thermal resist rig on. Your gist/active tank fit also migh want a photon hardener, and can be made stable with 2 heavy cap boosters, though it'd be at the cost of tackle/tank, neither of which are great but you can get the same amount repped with a meta4 booster and standard blue pill.
