As your big, impressive countdown clock reminds us, CCP, there are only nine days and seven hours left before this expansion hits, CCP. I think we've done all the testing we can realistically do of the Minmatar quarters. We've had several weeks to test them, and even if you release the other racial CQs this very instant, we're only going to have just over a week to test the other three races, so if you actually want us to do some testing, they had better hit Singularity pretty soon. ----- Andreus Ixiris CEO, Mixed Metaphor

Yeah I was wondering about that.
I think most of the testing done in the Minmatar quarters was to straighten out the Incarna tech itself and not the models and textures and basic living space. I'm guessing/hoping it takes less time and effort to snap the pieces together now that they've got the makings down pat.
But I share your anxieties

If they think the tech is stable enough they may push the other 3 directly to TQ. I do not think that is the case becouse they now test everything on Sisi before deployment testing schedule.
My last though is it takes less time to go for final form if the base tech is not changing under you feet. Goes the same for textures. They have the specs they are going to stick with for the diffrent levels of detail hopefully. Rest is touchup work.
I give it till Mid week. Monday for final touches, Tuesday for devblog writeup and final mass test on turrets. Wendesday for deploy and devblog. 2 Days for final tweaks. We shell see, was hoping for some word today during the alliance turnament.

The Incarna tech itself seems pretty damn robust, but that's what I've come to expect from CCP. They are good at implementing infrastructure and barebones systems. But the fact is, yes, we now know that the Incarna tech works, and that there aren't any graphical or clipping errors in the Minmatar quarters. It would still be good to check that there weren't specific issues with the other racial CQs. ----- Andreus Ixiris CEO, Mixed Metaphor

I get the feeling that CCP have forgotten to tell us that they wont be released with incarna and will come at a later date. That or they are gambling ... a lot

IMO they release just the minmatar CQ in 9days, the other 3 will come later, or soonÖ.
It's a shame because the other CQ are looking very good too from the concept art.

I can be wrong... but if we see it clearly the splash boot screen shows a rifter and minmatar quarters and even the banner on official webpage is minmatar quarters. So my guess is that initially they will only release minmatar quarters and later the others which is a shame imo however if we read the last blog related to incarna the DEV clearly states "this build is still restricted to minmatar quarters" from which we can assume there will be another quarters....
One can only hope, cross your fingers.

Lol.
All are going in. They are only letting us test the Minmater quarters cause they only want feedback on the underlying technology and it's performance. Not the layout and appearance of the room itself.
But please. Continue with your 'I want it now' whining. I makes me smile ever so much.

I will have to re-quote you in 9 days and we shall see who will smile then. It's totaly dump not to test the whole content, I'm 99% sure only minmatar CQ will go live in 21st june.
But I guess will have to wait and see.

Actually they do (as stated) want feedback on appearance. And room layout has an effect on things like pathing, plus different panels/textures... all need testing.
also there is whatever code makes the right CQ appear in the correct stations, and I am sure a host of other things under the hood that would make only testing one CQ and then releasing all of them pretty dim.... Not to say CCP wont do it of course.... But it will be dim none the less. __________________________________________________

Seems we are not getting them in 9 days, it also seems CCP have given up with expansions and prefer rolling out content here and there without ever completing the expansion ( subsystems ) http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1525875

Screw that jazz CCP. Just wait and release them all at once. An yes it would be nice if you told us that ahead of time instead of after you start a bloody countdown!

If true. Then the most talked about expansion of the last 4 years is going to be a massive anti-climax. Maybe it's why they haven't done much promotion of it.

Better to get it working and then promote it. I think we will get the rest sooner rather then later.
Better to wait on the rest then deploy 3 and wait on the forth. Simplifies the bug reporting to.

It's for roleplay purposes guys! Other races engineers don't work as fast minmatar engineers, and duct tape is extremely quick to install. Other races are stuck using actual alloys and other silly construction materials.

CCP, i LOVE minmatar, it's all I fly.
but really? only minmatar? the ugliest CQ for all new playerS? Do you really want to introduce players to eve with a trashbag by the door?
Do you really want to introduce players to eve with a trash bag by the door?
no joking around, delay the expansion, CQs are going to introduce players to eve. you already killed all of the racial clothing, now you'll make players think the races mean nothing in eve.
A caldari characters should not be waking up in a minmatar quarter day 1. wtf CCP, delay this ****.

I'm with MotherMoon on that one; kinda lame that they can get 1 small room into an expansion release, but they can't get 4 small rooms in. I'm still holding out some hope that the community dev was wrong and that they will "surprise" us with all 4 rooms.

I still have to disagree, if final stress testing (subjecting it to us on TQ) is easier with one CQ at a time then I have no problem releasing it that way. as I say its an issue that gets resolved fairly quickly as they release the successive CQ's... Whereas is there are design flaws like not keeping the old hanger view... they don't go away with the successive patches... so I think that they are a much better use of time and effort to try to get changed.
Plus whining about HOW patches get released, given that staggered releases like this were one of the things we as players asked for, justifies some of the people criticising us as whiners with no point. __________________________________________________

This.
I'm disappointed that we won't be seeing a fairer distribution of effort put into each racial CQ, but by the same token I understand that most of CCP's resources are going into Dust and WoD right now, and therefore they can't deliver the promised content.
Given the miniscule resources they HAVE chosen to dedicate to Eve, I'd rather have a finished and polished CQ that works instead of four ugly, slow and buggy racial CQ's. |

What's there to be 'stress tested' on TQ? There is no multiplayer environment, there is no gameplay, there is just a small set of 3d models with some textures.
I just can't see any practical benefit to this kind of release. All that I can see is mismanagement and disingenuity. ... If you like choice please support this topic in the Assembly Hall. Thanks.

As someone who is looking forward to Incarna and not one of the anti-Incarna forum QQers, I have to say this release of a single CQ comes across as really shoddy to me. Almost embarrassingly so.

If it was just because they want stress testing on TQ, there would be screenshots/video of the other CQs.
this is just due to the fact that other ones aren't done, that's it.
also eve has 3 times the number of devs working on it right now then when I played 6 years ago. Don't say eve has barely any resources going into it, it makes you look spoiled.
