If indeed you do get a new "roll" from each jamming module, you'll just have to mount enough of them to make the chance of jamming a "statistically" likely occurence.
Which is the EXACT thing jamming ships do now, only they do it because they have to get above a certain sensor strength, or mount enough dampeners to make sure the target ship doesn't lock anytime soon.
So, with the old system you need 6 multispecs for a "very likely certainty" of jamming, and with the new system you'll need the same number. Big deal.
CCP isn't doing anything new here. They are just twiddling with numbers.
As for the warp scrambling thing, you may have to mount a "generic" warp scrambler and a racial one. Big deal. If you wanna catch somebody right now, you'd better be mounting 2 warp scramblers. If they get away anyway, chances are they had so many WCS fitted, it would not have mattered anyway. So where is the difference? Again, really no difference.
Just a little more "fluff", parameters and nothing accomplished.
Instead of fixing a system that isn't borked, CCP should be focusing more on balance changes, instead of twiddling stuff that doesn't need to be twiddled with.

While I have my doubts about the "randomness", I can live with that. My main point of concern is the range limitations on EW. It severly limits its practical usage.

I find that post somewhat ironic. Please keep the smack to other threads. Its not difficult to find a thread with someone smacking us. Feel free to do your worst in any of them, but try to keep this thread on the EW discussion.
