Originally by: CCP Wrangler Update at 01:51 UTC, June 16 2011: The CCP Security Task Force reports that all servers and services are functioning normally. Thanks again for your patience.
EVE Online and related services are currently experiencing service interruptions. We are working diligently to prevent further interruptions. We have taken the API offline at this time and hope to return it to service shortly. We apologize for the inconvenience and we will have service restored as soon as possible.
This is a blatant lie. The server hasn't been functioning 'normally' since the 1.6 patch. When are you going to fix it?

Will CCP investigate players and BAN them if they are involved with the DDOSs?
In the Terms there is a clause that specifies that any intentional disruption or attempts to cause disruption and so on and so on is banable.
http://www.eveonline.com/pnp/terms.asp
Quote:
16. You may not do anything that interferes with the ability of other EVE Online subscribers to enjoy the game or web site in accordance with its rules. This includes, but is not limited to, making inappropriate use of any public channels within the game and/or intentionally creating excessive latency (lag) by dumping cargo containers, corpses or other items in the game world.
17. You may not engage in any activity that increases the difficulty and/or expense of CCP in maintaining the EVE Online client, server, web site or other services for the benefit and enjoyment of all its users.
21. You will not attempt to decipher, hack into or interfere with any transmissions to or from the EVE Online servers, nor will you try to create or use any third party add-ons, extras or tools for the game.
25. CCP reserves the right to close, temporarily or permanently, any userĘs account without advance notice as we deem necessary. Furthermore, we reserve the right to delete all user accounts or inventory of characters as warranted.

Lol, these guys took down the US Senates website, FBI.gov and forward massive amounts of phone numbers to the FBI's Detroit office. If these guys are caught, they won't need to be banned, they won't see the light of day for a loooooooooong time.

Plan for today is to make silly tweets (just like this one) so people's phones explode with updates and the media works harder. :3
Yes, this is the best lulzsec can do right now in their current state.

Considering that we live in a world of ultra-surveillance where computer pranks can get you more prison time than molesting a kid, and that the governments of the world would really love to make the internet very restricted in what you can do, say, and see, I would suspect that if DDoS attacks that really make people mad (hence clamoring for more laws) do not result in any arrests, then we know who is really behind this.
If you want this to stop, tell your "representative", if you still live in a country that has them, that no matter what happens, any measure to control the internet is not going to be acceptable.

So, when do we get refunded for the time the server was unreachable?

Why don't you post your name and address here?
Someone might mail you a $0.15 check for the time you had to go outside instead of play EVE you sad sad man.
