Yay, time to spin our characters instead of ships around but at a stupidly low fps for no apparent reason. Somebody fire these idiot devs. ___________

"EVE Online: Icana 1.0" should be Incarna as others have stated.
I'm excited to see Tranquility's Captain's Quarters and of course ship turret graphics and animations as I've seen on CCP Youtube.
The Noble Exchange will be interesting to see how it's integrated, as well as the new agent finder and corp recruitment tools. I started playing EVE a few weeks ago, and was disappointed that the ability to find new agents was very limited - the map's filter or the internet. It was basically impossible for me to find all the Mining agents I qualified for, seeing as I could only filter out the agents I wasn't qualified for. I'm sure this isn't a problem for experienced players who've put up with this limitation over the years, but it has been a noticeable quirk for a new player to deal with, who would like to run specific missions.
Will the new tutorials include the new Noble Exchange? Perhaps the bonus of the tutorial could include one of these "new and exciting goods"?

Based on how much SiSiLauncher downloads when converting a current TQ install to Singularity, I'd say around 1.0GB.

There was a devblog that said CQ will be disableable, at least for now, so people that multiclient on older GPUs can still do so.
Also, looking forward to the new turrets!

Originally by: Serenity 159080 With the release of Incarna, will we still be able to log into EVE without an avatar? If we do not need to create an avatar, what happens when we dock at a station?
Whatever happens, I suggest the temporary 'load station environment' option in the [ESC] window and disabling it.

Will there be a "Captain Quarters" button like Torfi already had during the Fanfest of 2008, or will we have this amateurish option to not load station environs in the settings? Thus requiring a client reboot.

I hope before u deploy Incarna on June 21 u'll fix the turret icons! And can we have an answer why we can't switch to the 'old' hangar view after CQ will be deployed? That loading screen insted of it is rather lame...
Thx.

I'm excited for Incarna :) My only concern is the "transition" from docking, and undocking. While I am hauling ore I want to be able to dock, drop, undock.......not dock, walk over to my couch, sit down, look at assets, open ship cargo, drop ore, than undock.

Can't wait! Been waiting for this since Christmas 2010. In fact, Incarna is what allowed me to convince my friend to start playing EVE back in December. See CCP? Incarna isn't even out yet and it's already making sales!
It will be nice at work on my laptop being about to sit in the CQ and watch the ticker feeds and the management systems.
One thing to consider CCP, just for the future, assuming it's not already this way, is the ability to change the information which the monitor's display. Like, if I have PI I may want a monitor displaying that but if I don't (like my friend doesn't yet) maybe have the option to switch it to something else. I would also like to be able to see my current Sales order information (personal and corp) and it would be nice to have a stock graph or line graph displaying my sales information. Just a thought for the future..

CCP has already stated that they are leaving the sidebars in place in Incarna. You should have no problem docking unloading and pressing the yellow >>> undock button.

If I had a nickel for every whining complaint about how bad the next patch is going to f*** up the game I'd be filthy rich. Just like all the prior patches f***ed up the game right? I know the haters have some need to express themselves but please stop being a drag and embrace the inevitable change or take your precious dollars elsewhere.
I for one applaud the new direction and look forward to this major new tech injection into our beloved game.

It was the exact same thing that convinced me to start playing. Only there was no friend... I've been following EVE for ages. They havent been able to convince up till now :)

I might be less against captain's quarters if the CarbonUI patch hadn't ****ed my Eve experience so hard. UI Windows (like the overview) move around to where I click, when I am not trying to move them. Last night, in space, I issued a 'stop moving' command to my ship, which responded by keeping right on flying forward. By right click drop-down, by ring UI, and by keyboard shortcut. Each method even received a command received confirmation (that little 'ship stopping') dialogue box. Nonetheless the ship didn't stop. Other problems with the CarbonUI update persist.
As I understand it, CarbonUI was implemented so that wall-screens in CQ would work. As unexcited as I was about CQ (but willing to tolerate its existance as, yes, I do want more people to play Eve), I am now full blown angry about how badly this whole expansion rollout has gone. Ask my corpmates about how much I've been swearing due to my client doing **** I do not want to do, did not intentionally tell it to do, and which nearly got me ship losses a couple times. Captain's Quarters has screwed up my flying spaceships game, and I'm finding it almost unbelievable there hasn't been MORE of an outcry. I know I'm not the only one with these issues.

Well I hope all the fanbois enjoy Tuesday, IÆve just come from the SiSi client after the latest æTest PatchÆ (yes it really did say test patch) and itÆs not looking good.
Footfalls are added but are very muffled and dull sounding and there is little change between the æfloorÆ sound and what should be a æclink clinkÆ sound when walking on the metal walkway.
There is still only the one CQ no other races available as yet.
Still no æDrag and DropÆ to change ships, everything has to be done either on the right click menus or from the ship icon on your desk or balcony.
In space there was no warp tunnel at all also no into warp æboomÆ sound or out of warp sound.
The mining lasers I tested gave one quick burst of the mining sound and then failed to repeat.
The FPS has also dropped slightly from my last test (by about 10 FPS).
I bought an article of clothing but was unable to work out how to wear it, it appeared in my inventory list with all my other æstuffÆ but on going into the character creator I could not find it even after following some suggestions asked by another in chat. I expected a right click option to say æAdd to your clothing listÆ, but there was nothing, I could sell it, contract it, even trash it, but not it seems wear it.
Some good things (few and far between).
Rogue Drones have a very nice laser effect that makes one feel like they are really attacking you.
The mining laser effect has changed and is nice and along with the new strip miner turrets look pretty good.
ThatÆs about it.
