I have wanted to get out of the pod and walk around for all of the three years I`ve been crammed into an egg full of space goop. So frankly even if its buggy as all hell I say cry havoc and let slip the dogs of glitch. But I'm also a realist,so I've lined up 20 days of skill training, bought The 'IT Crowd' Box set and will alternate between laughing at quality British comedy and what I hope will be some equally high quality international rage posting. And to all those who will without a shred of doubt feel an unquenchable need to snap off the inevitable spite filled rage quit post, may I be the first to extend a heart felt and genuine 'can I haz your stuffz?'

Guys, come on. Let this one cook for a while.
We're looking at a DT of the better part of a day. CQ is just part of the (promised) Incarna experience, and even that isn't more than a fourth of the promised feature.
Turrets and missile launchers; okay, they're different tech. But looking at the whole picture here, you should finish this one now.
I know there's a lot of perceptual bias going on, but these things don't help when your perceived motto is, above anything else, 'release a tech-demo and make it a product later'.
My advice here would be to move this one up by a month or two. As opposed to releasing yet another semi-finished piece of roadkill.
In other news; warping just became duller than ever. On top of seriously toned down sounds (Apocrypha) and a broken sound engine (so half the time you don't hear anything anyway) there's now nothing. No tunnel, no motion blur, nothing (seriously, what's your shader guy doing all day?).

Are we getting only the minmatar CQ initially, if yes, when should we expect the rest? What is the roadplan for incarna etc..
It would be nice to keep us informed, really. We love you when you throw us a bone so we can chew while you're doing your dev stuff.
Pretty much this. My personal guess is that Incarna 1.0 isnt really ready to ship (the sisi build has only the minmatar quarters still), but forgetting what they promised players just 6 months ago, CCP are going ahead anyway. Oh well. Looking forwrad to a month of daily patches and hotfixes. NOT.

/tinfoil hat on
The reason they haven't released patch notes yet is they are changing something drastic they know players will hate, and don't want to give us time to plan / scheme / stockpile early.
Not sure what that change is (moon nerf, supercarrier nerf, etc)

Edited by: JC Anderson on 20/06/2011 12:28:52 In another thread, they said the patch notes were going on six pages and counting.. And that was before. The final release might be MUCH longer... So if they really do end up being as long as they have claimed, then I can understand why its taking so long.

Hi
Ive been playing this game for eight years, (off and on)
I feel we should wait and see what Incarna brings, I reside in wormhole space so it will have a limited effect for me
Yes, thier will be bugs and yes CCP WILL overrun on the DT for the patch release
But all online games should evolve, they have too or it will get stale and ppl will stop playing
For me , Ive no interest in CQ, but im sure thier are many who are looking forward to this patch and i suspect that many chars will relog into eve to check it out
So, lets see what it brings
Oh, and Ive a fridge full of beer and popcorn ready for all the whining tommorow |

It really is superb that they haven't managed to get the patch notes together less than 24 hours before the patch is due - seriously CCP your releasing a patch when you've yet to fully document what it actually does?
Your filling me with confidence already.

Edited by: Talin Ransara on 20/06/2011 14:22:46 Let me just set this straight. I love the Incarna feature, its smooth as the station Dock and fantastically epic. Especially with the new Turrets. I want the Incarna features, I have sense I first booted up EVE back in 2003. However what I'm having a problem with is that CCP is forcing even the BASE feature out the door without all of it's parts.
We are only getting ONE of the FOUR faction CQ's, and for me someone who is a Gallente Pilot/Gallente purist, who despises Minmatar Ships, stations and whatever space junk they pass for space worthy. This is a hit in the Face.
I love the feature, but what I'm asking for is that they release all of the CQ's at once. Partly because I don't have faith in CCP that they will go back and fix exclusion in a timely fashion. The DEV's can make all the promises they want in saying "As soon as possible." but we all know they are notorious for letting things WAIT to long.
An to be honest, as big of a feature as it is, its also remarkable small. It doesn't effect much of the Core game play of EVE, so they could wait a few weeks, and then put it out on TQ and have a much happier player base.
To Paraphrase. I love Captain's Quarters. I want it badly. However I'm not willing to sacrifice Racial specific CQ's for the sake of a release date.

what happens at the end of the counter from the eveonline.com/incarna website ? As it doesn't correspond with the downtime so it isn't the patch.

Even in cases where I don't like the patch that the trailers are for, I still enjoy the trailers themselves.

If CCP wont do fps in Incarna maybe this is a nice idea:
Terrorist minigame for WiS in late August would be nice feature
Plant a bomb near DJ LMP quarters and walk away from the explosion
btw: at least 6 pages of patch notes hope DT last long enough to go through it

They have been tested on SiSi, new coats, skirts, shoes and dresses but they were all priced at 1 Aur, so no price until Wednesday (allowing for server re-starts, sudden downtime, unable to/corrupt downloads, forum rage etc).
BTW Good luck Devs, hard hats on, flame proof vests at the ready, popcorn and drinks to everyone, see you Wednesday morning if the client downloads OK off peak.
