My milestone will be when I get a jump freighter. Been saving forever for one but I keep buying other ships ><
Earlier milestones I think was when I could do T2 and T3.

I guess my biggest milestones have been, in timeline order:
1. Orca (still have it)
2. Charon
3. Charon #2 (after this the others weren't milestones)
4. Rorqual (built it, self-destructed in a C2, replaced by #2 in a C5)
5. My first bond for 10 billion ISK 
Other notable ones: my first Drake and first Raven, which I built.
With the bond I've never had so much invested in manufacturing before.
Sure is keeping me busy. Bond closes August 1st so July is gonna be an even busier month for me!

My own milestone was... 
The creation of 5 other alts spread over 3 accounts to counter the bottle neck in bpc production and T2 manufactorying which may result in the 4th account to counter the previous counter...

Poducing my first JF inc all parts, which included the freighter
opening my 2/3/4th corp with poses to cover the amount of work i was doing at time.

My milestones I've reached so far:
- 1B isk in my wallet. ( for about 5 minutes.. then it went into investments )
- 1B isk monthly income
- My Hulk and Mack
- My Orca
- My Blockade runner
- Starting up my T2 production lines, which I'm still expanding now into more products ( and finding that I don't have enough productin slots, so working on that )
- My first POS operations.
Not yet achieved but approaching fast:
- Building my first freighter
- Flying a freighter to move my stuff ( this one will be achieved as soon as I've built one, can fly it now already )
- Capital Production
- Clearing 2B a month in profit. ( this is taking a lot more work than my first 1B month milestone )
- Jump Freighter( this will take a while, as my alt who will be flying it has a lot of other skills train up first, and also the cash will be tight )

1. Production Efficiency V
2. Indy V/Blockade Runner
3. POS
4. Hulk
Next will be an Orca probably, then maybe a freighter if I need :)

Hmm, there were a few, but the first really noticable one was when I got the Crane and could warp cloaked. Makes hauling high value, even in high sec, a lot less nerve wracking.

1. First Freighter.
2. Max Skilled for Hulk and Orca.
3. Training all invention skills to at least IV, star ship invention skills to V.
4. Finding just one char having skills to access all 11 invention slots wasn't enough, and training alts to make more available.

My milestones were :
1. mined and built a freighter
2. built a jump freighter from #1
2.1 built another freighter
3. mined and built a rorqual
4. mined and built a carrier
5. invention skills mostly to 4
6. can build basically everything t2 and t1 except for titan
still on the todo list :
1. build a dread
2. build a super carrier
but basically my indy char has achieved all that's needed and I'm looking for new areas as I'm basically fed up with production and very low margins.
Example : last t2 I built were 7 broadsword. the t2 materials cost about 164m, the t1 hull about 4m, the broadsword sells in Jita at 185m, that leaves 17m for invention costs and production and profit 
production is about 4-5d for a ship (longer if you make 3-4 or all 7 in one batch)
I know, there are surely much better items to produce, but honestly I don't have the time anymore to check markets for every T2 with sale stats etc.
I moved to a WH and make a ****load of money with out that much hassle.
Last night I ran anomalies for 1 hour and hit about 150m. pure profit :)

my milestone was today, when i finished programming an application, that helps me manage profit from Manufactoring extremely easily and effectively :)
now i know exactly what to manufacture and when to buy minerals for it :)

Aside from one T1 frigate, I still haven't flown a ship that I've built for myself - I know it's the worst kind of MIMAF, but I want to be self-sufficient more than I want to be rich.

Lol.. I had a Dramiel 2 weeks into the game as a total noobie.. Just after I learned how to fly a Scythe. I go out on my level 2 mining mission, feeling proud that I can now handle the rats with my mining ship(previously, when rats showed up while I was mining in my BURST, I'd have to get my rifter or thrasher to deal with them).
3 minutes into the mission, rats show up.. and I'm all oohh goody.. time to try out these missile launchers! Then I notice it's a faction spawn, with 4 friends.. a 'big' fight later, my scythe is in structure, but I've killed them all. I go to the faction wreck to pick up the loot, expecting faction ammo.. and I find a Dramiel BPC.
So overjoyed, I decided to skill up and learn how to fly it.. I still have that Dramiel today, and I love flying it, even if I don't fly it as often as I used to. Nowadays, I use it to do a 1/10 plex nearby, or every few months go to arnon to do the epic arc mission in it.

Industrial milestones...
1. Start hauling corp and get paid real wages for moving mass freight (check)
2. Get a masty (triple check)
3. Successfully research, bpc invent, and build t2 ships (grigate and cruiser) (lots of checks)
4. Get freighter and haul full load through low sec (scary check)
5. Get orca and run mining ops (Half check)
6. Get Rorqual with full compressor rigs (no check)
7. Run safe space POS as public Labs for minmatar space (no check but getting there)
So still have some work to do

1)building my first Battleship *took a screen shot and that is now my mouse mat ;)*
2)able to use all t2 mineing cytrals
3)building my first carrier
4)building second carrier lol
5)able to fly two races transport ships
Still aiming for:
1) building my first freighter
2) flying said freighter
3) full t2 and t3 production =D

Making a copy of a BP, made like 4 frigs, 2 destroyers in about 2-3 days, im bout to get into t2.
but my biggest is for my corp i've made over 150-175k of heavy missiles and about 2x that in projectile ammo

Realising that I would be better served to park a trading alt in Jita and use courier contracts to get my mats sent to the point of manufacture than to fly a freighter myself.
Getting irritated at the thoughtlessness of a pilot who took some of my courier contracts and got themselves suicide ganked. I mean, yes, I made a profit on the collateral, but that's not the point. Really, how hard can it be to not get blown up going through Uedama?

My milestone of beeing a industrialist.
1) Own all Capital ship bpos (researched)
2) Make myself selfsustaining(isk to GTC)
and
3) own 1 of each T2 bpo item/ammo/ship
Thats about it.

Biggest was definitely getting my first large POS set up and fully kitted - huge sense of accomplishment there.
First was finally getting into a hulk after the seeming eternity of the first 2 or 3 months.
Second was selling the hulk a month later and buying a raven to make isk to buy minerals.

Two characters with Lv 4 PI skills, PI in low sec
Regaining a billion ISK, spending it on T3 multiple T2 cruisers
Producing my first Control Towers using top tier PI components created from 2nd tier PI on my alt's planets
Finding that I have all materials and BPs I'll need for weeks even with 5 production slots
Still to go:
Such that buying a Freighter is not only possible but practical
Enough ISK to buy a capital ships component and then enough minerals to make my money back, probably several billion, going to need that Freighter...
Train my alt into ultimate trader/accountant
Train my alt into Inventor
Train my alt with lotsa slots such that it will be my main industry character, freeing my main for other pursuits and worries
Make T3
Make Tech 2 cruisers and/or battleships
Three characters with Lv 4 PI skills
Do it all without getting a second account

Nice, good to see still so many people interested in this :)
My milestones were:
1) Retriever, then Hulk
2) Mining mins for a Charon (not built by myself, but I still mined all the low-ends)
3) Switching from "mine and sell" to "mine, build and sell for oh-so-much more"
4) 1G in wallet, obviously :)
5) Killing sleepers in a Hulk while munching those yummy ABC roids in w-space
6) 1st personal POS
7) Capital BPOs
...
Another kind of a milestone was the ability to fly any reasonable ship without giving a sh*t about eventually losing it
