From a viewers point it's getting old and boring to see it in the tournament though but i guess as long as people publicly rage and cry about it it serves it's purpose. If people have problems with the metagame aspect then just dont watch next time and save yourself some "wasted" time and surely dont come here and cry about it. It's eve wether you like it or not. Dont throw a fit because you "think" you have first dip in the honour pot. Decide next year if you want to watch again or not, see you then

I'm pretty sure if you wanted to ban metagaming the only way to do it would be to ban absolutely every team... That said, CCP could respectfully ask the teams to at least put on a good show, as this probably hurts viewer numbers in later years (though I don't see why it should), which hurts [possibly] everyone.

We wanted a proper slugfest for the final match and that's what we got, Outbreak and Hydra went at it guns blazing and Outbreak won in the fight overall... However Outbreak and Hydra are friends, and they've just shown the whole community that's it's not all about winning, it's about taking part, playing an online game with your friends and just having fun. The fact that Outbreak won the fight but let Hydra take the match was an amazing showing of friendship between the two that got me a little emotional 'cos it's rare nowadays to see people being so generous to each other. So from me, +100, good on them for showing all these Eve trolls that's it's not about winning, it's about having fun! Loved the tournament, loved the commentators, was a bit bored of all the Minmatar ships but y'know, can't have everything ;) Looking forward to next year :D

However the AT is supposed to be viewed by others, and say what you will it serves as a promotion for EVE. People who watch it watch it for the same reason they watch any other sporting event, which is to see a good game being played. As it stands the final would have been much better if all of Outbreak just self-destructed immidiately, or just left one of the frigates of HYDRA alive and then self-destructed.

The only ones that benefit are that small clique of players who believe in the self centred hype that they are in some way better than every one else. In this instance the vast majority of people watching would agree that this tournament final is probably the worst advert for this game that could have been thought of... come play EvE, nothing you do will matter because you're not even the boot scrapings on the bottom of the shoes of a small group of players with Oedipal complexes.
