1. A disembark button. Return ship spinning and of you want to walk around you can push the button.
2. Keep microtransactions for vanity items only. This has been promised to us but it seems unlikely given the leaked document.
3. Add some reasonably priced vanity items. I don't really care about any of it, but if people want to spend billions on specialty items that's fine with me, like the dude who lives in the trailer park with the brand new corvette. Add some economy items for the working class spaceship pilot.
4. Address heat issues with hardware. I see you're looking into that now and good on you.
5. This is most important. Be open and honest with the players. The fact that you haven't responded in any way disturbs me. Even a "chill doods a dev blog is on the way!" would be welcome. ---

This is really all we want. #5 is pretty huge, it also disturbs me we've heard nothing from them and in the meanwhile they're getting an increasing amount of bad PR through various gaming media outlets.

I was writing my own thread that said something along these lines but gave up when i saw this as it summarizes everything pretty well :)
I do like Incarna it has a lot of potential but that disembark button is really key. Under the current mechanics stuff like changing ship opening up the different bays and stuff is just a massive pain in the arse! I also dual box a lot so having station environment loaded on both clients is a no-go + staring at that door is dam right depressing.
I am impressed at the potential of Incarna just deeply disappointed in the way its been rolled out and the nerf to my ship screen,

Edited by: Apollo Gabriel on 23/06/2011 16:52:40 Edited by: Apollo Gabriel on 23/06/2011 16:49:16 In recognition that your thread was exactly 1:00 minute before mine, and in hopes that one of them survives the first page flood, I will add my content here:
Some are mad about the ship spinning: FIX: when you dock, you ship spin by default, then above undock you have leave ship option. Allow ship swapping without leaving your pod.
Some are mad about AUR for Battleships, ammo and mods: FIX: make it like the LP store, they have to purchase from players, then trade in to get new item.
Some are mad about high vanity item cost: FIX: Set up contract auctions for say 100 of each item, then base the vanity store items off this. There could be buy it now prices and auction prices. Allow them to dynamically fluctuate.
Some are mad that CCP doesn't consider people having multiple accounts spending extra money on their hobby FIX: ???
They did begin a query into heat here:

I would not have cancelled my 3 subs today if CCP had made this post and not a random player.
I hope everyone at CCP who's involved in this entire fiasco gets fired and is forbidden to ever work with computers again. Go clean my flat or make yourself useful in some other way please.

After some local brainstorming, I had an epiffany on how we could solve this decently. Everyone who is opposed to the changes, MT and whatnot, joins fleet A, led by John Turbefield. The people who think the ones in fleet A are a bunch of whiners and gonads joins fleet B, led by that "I think microtransactions are brilliant" guy. Make it happen. The FC who leads his fleet to a glorious victory is put in charge; effective immediately.

Edited by: Tippia on 23/06/2011 17:16:21 Pretty muchà
In regards to #3, I'd say not even that much is needed. By all means, keep the item prices high, but make it possible to distinguish $$ and ISK price. As has been pointed out elsewhere, while you can get one for the other, there's a distinct difference between $70 and 1.5bn ISK. The former is a truly ridiculous price for an in-game item; the latter is not.
This could easily be fixed by, as Apollo Gabriel, hints at, actually finishing the NeX and make it be a mix of ISK and AUR to buy the stuff, where you need more of the former and less of the latter. Sure, let a monocle cost a total of 1.5bn ISK, but only make 500M of that be in the form of AUR. This lets people actually put the stuff onto the market and create a flow of goods and a proper supply/demand from secondary trading.
Again, the whole point of a good µT scheme is to remove the price as a factor in the decision-making process. The rest of it then becomes a matter of finding a balanced markup for your ISK investment, just like with the regular LP store. ùùù ôWe want to try this thing called micro-transactions, but we don't know what it is. Can anyone explainà aw screw it, let's just do it! What could go wrong?ö ù ÇÇP |

I hate to single someone out like this and I'm sorry to the person/people that I'm doing this to, but they have yet to learn interior environment artist techniques. The good news is that it doesn't seem like the problem is in the rendering engine.

OP summed up the problems without exaggerating or overextending their implications; and he did so by offering clear, easy solutions that I agree with 100%. The post was objective and not emotional.
Good job OP! This capsuleer is rooting for you! This thread is an example of the kind I hope CCP gives the most weight to in any considerations they make based on the forums.
