If this is incorrect however, bonus to the rest of us the amount of morons in this game with 2 braincells between them decreases. Thanks for making our game better.
Wrong, we are doing this to try and bring the game back before it's too late, if it doesn't work our accounts will simply run out of time and we'll move on to other games.
Maybe you do not care enough to do anything but toss the issues under the rug or just walk away without a second look. We do. |

If people really were quitting enmasse, as they claim to be on these forums, it seems like that graph would be a impossible.
So while I get that some folks really do have their panties in a wad about this, I think a lot of people posting on this forum are just using this as an opportunity to act like jackasses while they macro mine in Genesis.
If you're really actually not going to quit, stop making the forums so unpleasant. And if you really are going to quit, please take your rage out the door to your new MMO. Because the noise in here is coming from so many directions anyhow, nobody can see anything or possibly read it all.
Here's a completely banal observation about players like the op: they are devoid of intellect. Stupid for short.
Too stupid to understand that most subscription need time to run out, too stupid to understand the difference between plex/RMT and CCP plans for MTs in EVE, too stupid to see the giant flaws in 'Incarna'.
Just saying. ... Return the Old Hangar Back... for Immersion.

Uh oh. The trolls are resorting to personal insults. I guess the OP caught them out. "We're gonna unsub! Honestly! First, I just want to shoot this monument! And run this mission! And have a quick roam!"
Here's a thought: Why are unsubbers protesting, when they're going to "leave the game forever"? Because they're cowards and liars, and will resub after a week, if they've even told the truth about unsubbing in the first place!

CCP expects growth from a major touted expansion. The fact that figures are "flat" isn't really a ringing endorsement. As others have said, it takes a while for the cancellations to kick in, many people feel that they may as well get their moneysworth in the meantime. Sorry you don't like the fact that customers are complaining about the product they pay(paid) for. If you don't like it, don't read it. Its not hard to skip the threads you will dislike and cherrypick the ones you will.

This, more or less.
Also, most people who are quitting don't hate EVE in its whole. We just hate the direction CCP wants for the game, and so we're leaving before their vision becomes a reality.
I loved EVE. I really did. And now I will find something else to play until someone with a brain gets back in charge at CCP.

Also, stuff doesn't happen instantly. MMOs dying is always slow and painful death.

Seriously this whole drama is the most interesting thing that has happened in ages. I play EvE for the drama because the basic game play is very stale these days.
I re-subbed using old PLEX to give away all my stuff and participate in this glorious cataclysm.

That's a question. Also, why not? I would dare say that people quitting over recent events, aren't leaving 'cause they hate the current state of EVE. They are leaving due to the game's uncertain future (/future of the gameplay), and because they do not support this development.

Yes this is hilarious.
All the ragers are basically saying 'ooh I'm ever so angry that I'm going to quit immediately but continue to keep playing.'
Bottom line: Dear whingers/rage quitters/panties in a twists, nobody cares.
But please do follow through with your threat to quit.

I'm finding the forums rather fascinating. I have never seen rage of this magnitude in 20 years on the internet. At its current growth rate, Pann's thread will be one of the largest in internet history in a month. I only decided to try out this game again a month ago after a 2 month boring as hell mining stint last year. All the surprises surrounding Incarna, Lulzsec, and CPP scandals have certainly kept me thoroughly entertained this time around as I slowly train skills to try out PvP. TBH, I had a short-lived trial account way back 2008 as I took an interest in emerging virtual economies. Eve being one of the most famous of these. I'd hate to see CPP ruin this, but this affair has offered an unexpected close-up look at corporate greed and internet activism. Trippia's article has clarified what you all are so ****ed off about. Although a lot of the concern is purely speculative at this point and there may be somewhat less damning interpretations of the newsletter than the most damning possible interpretation that the community is fixiated on, I am seriously considering cancelling my subscription just for the hell of it. It would be better to give CCP a stern warning to not go this path than take the risk of them actually following through.

This thread is fantastic! Lots of the kind of people that CCP is really looking for. Not smart enough to know how to read a forum post and don't understand how the subscription process works! Yup. The future looks bright alright. Hey! There are some great purchases to be made in Jita local right now. Really good deals. I hear they caught all the scammers so it's all totally legit!

We don't hate Eve We hat the direction CCP is going with EvE. In Two years it will not be the game I started to play because it was not run like other MMOs. The thinking of the higher ups is pretty clear they dont respect of care about players concerns. For every one player that quits there are most likely 5 that agree with his points but are going to hang in on faint and hope.
And I will use the time I damn well paid for since they don't refund it.

No, we are saying we are going to unsubscribe. The unsubscription is a threat against CCPs MT plans. People can additionally continue to protest ingame until their sub runs out or CCP change their plans.
CCP don't care if you log in, just that they are going to get paid next month.

Normally after after an expansion there is a spike in that graph. If it's business as usual after such an important expansion for them that's pretty bad.

I can afford it. I have spent over $200 on hobby stuff in the last month and I am a student. I just won't pay CCPs prices. Hell in general I wont engage in MT in subscription based MMOs.
It is double dipping as far as I am concerned.

Here we go again...
My "Rage" as people are calling it is not the information or details that are coming out, although making me unhappy, doesn't put me to rage... it is the lack of answers and seeming condemnation of there playerbase as cash-cows to be milk almost dry but not quite.
Give me straight answers and don't talk down to me like a 5yr old. I am an adult and can take bad news, and if I don't find it acceptable I will take my money and leave. It is your choice, I don't really care what you do it is your company and money. I just want to know some answers so I know whether or not your get MY time and money. Fair exchange we both risk the same, my business, I know it is unimportant to you and i cannot change your mind if i don't like the direction and i'm not going to try. I just need to know so i know if i am staying or not. No big deal, you either have my business or you don't...
So stop dancing around being elusive and state the direction of Eve. You have no problem being all in faces when you have big announcements and such. Why can't you tell us the plan for Eve? According to all the leaks and such it is obvious that Eve is changing drastically very quickly kinda like SWG did back in the day, I left there because i didn't like the changes.
Sorry for the rant but long day and it seems this post ended up being my venting. More to say but i could literally go on for pages, already wrote a 5page word doc to email CCP when i can finally finish it off.

None of us WANT to quit. I'm still going to play until the point that my accounts expire, or CCP promises that MT will not affect gameplay.

Here's something to think about:
So there's Incarna, an expansion announced over 4 years ago, eagerly awaited. An expansion that was meant to bring droves of new players into the game as finally they would be able to leave their ships and have a personal connection to their avatar in a way that wasn't possible before.
Even though this "fantastic" expansion was finally released, player numbers haven't risen whatsoever. Very few new players are checking the game out, it's mostly oldtimers checking in again and people who usually play a lot less making some free time to check out this expansion properly.
In short: Wait for next week for judging the online numbers.

Take Hilmar for instance; the laudes everyone in CCP for the "success" of Incarna by telling them that they have already sold 52 monocles.
How hard was it for him to ignore just how many people disabled the feature as soon as they first docked up?
