Greetings fellow pilots!
I am just finishing up my first week of playing Eve Online. I hold a grand total of 2 million isk, and am currently skill training and mining/mining mission running.
As much as other players have explained to me that the game has changed over the years (Not always for the better) I still see great potential in it. Thats why i've decided to start what I call the Infinity project. Over the next two years I plan to design and build a comprehensive investment and banking website equal to any online trade account such as Scottrade or Etrade. I one day hope to start my own corporation and alliance dedicated to heavy production, industry, and trade, and also provide a stable (regulated and monitored...) banking and investment site.
Thats all for now, more later! Thanks for reading.

Yes I have. I want to combine the two ideas and improve on them while maintaining total transparency with frequent audits and reports to all pilots involved.

One of the ads for Eve was actually info about Ebank and that guy who stold 750 billion isk from players a few years ago.
I think guys who don't play Eve have heard about Ebank at this point.

For the record, the 750bil was not "stold" it was given to him by idiots.

This is the beginning of a two year project. Later today I will be launching a blog exploring various aspects of the Eve economy and tracking some average Eve Commodities prices (Ore, materials, PLEX). I will share some good sites i've found and methods im thinking of using. I am not launching anything active currently or asking for investments. If you are interested follow the thread and the blog. Thanks for reading.

So the story about the theft of 750 billion is what got you interested in Eve, and now we're going to invest right? ;)
My faith in CCP will return SoonÖ We'll watch what you do not what you say.

The idea that you could do anything from conquer 0.0 space, to booster dealing, to running an investment co got me interested in Eve. I intend to do a better job of it in time.

Solar seeks to do something to what you're exploring here.
Eve-Insurance currently runs on top of the Solar platform that, at it's core, handles deposits, character linking, intra-account transfers, withdraws, and all the appropriate GAAP accounting to post to various sub-ledgers. Additionally, I'm developing API tables to store EVE data and produce ledgers based on in-game data using the FIFO cost accounting methods with a manual workflow to address entries flagged for adjustments (i.e. a reconciliation of assets tracked via transactions versus assets that appear magically via station trade, contracts, etc). It has some other things, like exposing ledger data via CVS or XML formats using well formed RESTless webrequests.
While I have it handling meta purchase (insurance contracts), I have not and do not plan to develop a service for the exchange of virtualized securities like Block does. If you'd like to know more, hit me up in game. You can also find various process flows and design diagrams in my blog and in the MD threads (Sencnes publishes most of our process flows).
Good luck!

You have not only heard about EBANK or BSAC but also know how they work(ed), so that you can combine the ideas behind them to a single project? You know about boosters and stuff like that? All after just one week of playing EVE?
Good luck

Chev, I think we are the only people on the forums right now, I've been going crazy here at work.
Did this fizzle out already? It was a tad ambitious.

I got, "isn`t that the game thats had people quitting over a monacle?"
Funny how its the bad stuff that gets the game noticed. Trying to explain its not "Just" a monacle, but the whole idea of Micro transactions kinda loses them.
