Normally run incursions on Friday night, and couldn't find a fleet tonight for 3 hours. 26k online for a Friday night. Ouch. What did you do CCP?

I think that the number of bugs and the fear of melting PCs, along with general annoyance - like the fact I lost a Maller today to a simply Client freeze up and crash (not that it was much, would have been much worse had I lose my HAC or Hulk to such a thing) and so people are just rather put off.
Probably will see more and more people leaving for other things and only log in to check this or that - the days of playing hardcore are over until such time as CCP fixes this stuff, puts in the old hangar as an option and generally gets there house in order.
CSM hasn't said much and doubtful that they will have much to say - CCP proper hasn't said anything either - and unlike Bill Clinton's - when in crisis, say nothing, CCP really didn't do itself any favors with the silence or the lack of response to the real concerns. Instead they skated around the edges and didn't say much of anything.
This then is were we are at. People have lost that since of EVE is fun, and worth the time - most of my mates have gone to the pub (or something other on the PC) and give EVE a rest. Remains to be seen if they have done her in for good. I for one am not sub-ed now, I will PLEX until my ISK is gone and watch what happens - if I can't make ISK for broken game functions and all then I guess I will pass on to another game, if things start to work again - well then will see.
Anyway - the bugs are what are getting me and my mates - we have tried for a few days now to get things going and there are just too many broken game features and reboots needed to get things going - the skills bug, the turret bugs, etc... alot of broken stuff - besides CQ and MTs and all that crap... so, why risk what you have on a glitch - I am down one Maller, but hey them is the breaks. But I am sure not playing with anything expensive until this has gone past and PvP is definitly out of it, the Skills crap there sank that - no one is going to try anything, so you have carebears prob minding all things POS and such going on and that is it.
= Negative = Mission Runners = Carebears and Traders = Everyone at CCP
YOU have been now Updated on things! - Yea...

The number of active players always drops around major holidays. This weekend is a major holiday in the USA so much of the US player base is off doing stuff IRL. As for CCP's recent actions, they really haven't altered that much. I miss my station spinning but that hasn't pushed me away from the game, it's a minor gripe. There have been a number of lag/DC problems but those come and go, nothing new there really.
Their responses to MT have been a little less than ideal, but so far they have shown no signs of adding anything RMT/MT wise that isn't cosmetic only. I really don't care if people spend $60 US to buy a pixel monocle. I only care about such things if doing so get's them that golden drake.

You are making crap up. Numbers spikes on weekends and holidays. This was a sucky expansion and CCP had sucky PR with how they rolled it out and responded to the critisims. That is why numbers are down. 3 months from now if we are bearly crawling back to 40K online don't lie to yourself about the huge success this expansion was, we used to have 50+k online on average.

Begin of german summer holiday season, возможно? Started in Berlin, Brandenburg and Hamburg this weekend, and some days ago in Rheinland-Pfalz, Saarland, and Hessen. That makes for a considerable part of the population. There's a reason why they translate their planned statement into русский AND немецкий язык ...

I can only speak for myself.. like many I did not log in after the protest in the major trade hubs. We got what we wanted, CCP's attention.
Now we log out and wait for the statement. No statement no subscription no login. Same goes for the introduction of gold ammo in said statement. The drop in numbers really doesn't have anything to do with holidays/weekend or any of this crap. After all you play more EVE in your freetime than while you're at work.. right?

Check the "Past week" graph. You can clearly see a drop of at least 10k players after sunday 26th (thats where the protest slowly faded into just logging out and waiting for CCPs response)

The drop is even clearer on the server graph on the eveonline.com front page (on the right hand side after you scroll down a little) as it has separate lines for last week and this week. Check the "Past week" graph. You can clearly see a drop of at least 10k players after sunday 26th (thats where the protest slowly faded into just logging out and waiting for CCPs response)

It's also the 4th of July weekend in the US, where even hardcore nerds might think about logging-off their gamez and going outside to get cheezburger under the fireworkz. Some even leave their domiciles to visit their associated entities in their cross-terrain domiciles.
Though I bet you'll all neglect to tally environmental factors into your astute equations, and just call the 4th of July weekend possible server lulls, a "protest prewf". Even though a guaranteed 95% of the 'protesters' are coming back after having a cheezburger (or hot dog if it suits your fancy) and generally not caring about the drama anymore.

Its shocking that usually during holiday weekends the online users usually are still high and sometimes higher then normal. You know due to people actually being off work and school and all. Most events last a couple hours then people are right back to their super serious internet spaceships.
Funny to see people trying to spin the holiday excuse now.

It's not an excuse. It's an offered explanation other than the "it's the protest, unassailable logic", where you people start threads and only allow whining, or else the person is a CCP ALT, alien, CIA etc.

I never said it was because of or is a protest.
