Lets not forget itsme, that you have a loki alt with speed propulsion and probably shield tanking mods. Which to be honest the best way to surprise a cynabal, Also priness nexxala does the same thing, fought them both, though they are farely obvious :(, and havnt killed me. |

Thanks for the info
Careful with the Ashimmu if things go wrong they will go wrong fast! and its an expensive ship to lose espexially with a faction point, web and neuts
I took out a factionfitted cynabal in my ashimmu but i was 50% drunk and 100% ******ed to even try it. id simply sugest a shield curse with some neuts and TD, that or a fast scramblerfittet frig with a nos

Bait it with whatever you want that has a 400 omni tank and then get a rapier/huginn to make it quit moving and mess him up. |

Yes dual web drake will absolutely roflstomp a cyn...problem is getting it within web range. A good cyn pilot will kite you all day and leave when his shields get low. Drake are good cyn be gone tho...most of the times the damage at range gets them off the field.

actually i bet a nano drake could grab it, no BCus or maybe just the one, thenmove away from it and if it trys toi use an orbit overheat mwd and dual web punch him in the face.
possibly the best ideas so far, however cynabal pilots tend to avoid solo drakes... but most have a pop anyway :P

Edited by: Darling Hassasin on 27/07/2011 11:00:03 If you know he is coming place a cruise Raven in a belt with an omfg tank and gank and then place a cloaked rapier close to the Raven (or even at 0 gate to belt warp drop out). For the sake of completeness and to avoid lol losing both ships a pair of RR (armor) and some med rep drones on the Raven will seal the deal.
Or because of Falcon ( I never do this is too low a blow ... )
Btw this is also the best way to kill a Dramiel too... A t1 frig with 3 mids and a cloaked Falcon friend...
Edit: ok I am slightly off topic innit? sorryz...

I would imagine best way to make sure you get cynabal to engage and bait him is with 1-2 assault frigs as bait, yes they will most likely die, and a loki.
So have your alt in a tanked out af that has some speed on him, get scramb/web enough time for your loki to catch him with his web/point, af probably dies, but hopefully you kill the cynabal before his light ecm drones jams the joke and warps off.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned, is a dram. Overheat on approach and don't fly straight at him. If you land a scram on him, you might be able to pop his ecm drones before they jam you.

srsly? no one said it yet?
HAM drake, let him come towards you and then turn in his face with overloaded MWD.
Most vaga/cynabal pilots are ****ing stupid.
If your looking at amarr....hm, geddon with a heavy neut? He will run from a curse, even the daftest of cynabal pilots know a curse is bad.
Duel rep sac could do it, easily...you can actuall deal damage unless you scram him...which 80% of the time you should be able to do

Screw bait and abusive link mechanics, a Vengeance/Retribution tag-team drops them easily enough Hard part is holding them in place, but they are ****y bastards so you can often get away with using AB AFs against which they have no defense.
Cynabal's have awesome range, but like all big-bore gun wielders they struggle once you are under the guns. Now two AFs against a SFI is certain death for the frigates as they generally use 220's and have a massive tracking bonus .. probably the only cruiser I really fear when out gallivanting in frigs.

I don't know why you need all these weird ships to fight a cynabal. Almost any battlecruiser will at least drive one off and will kill it if they land a scram. |
