Anybody noticed that spamming warp to get out the pod while dieing isn't working as it used to?
If you click on the warp button while your ship blows up it doesn't get "pressed" like usual. It is not responsive until you have finished "boarding" your pod. Which leaves your pod one second or so in space during it can be targeted (and pointed, ofcourse).
First I thought that I was just lagged out, but it happened again.
Makes living in low-sec a bit more dangerous for your pod. Maybe I go to null and just factor in the pod loss as inevitable.
Have more people experienced this or is it just me?

would be awesome! Maybe the times of slaveset-safe-to-have in empire times are over now?? Or at least less reliable.

No, I dont use them, at least not for any subcapital ship. But all those lowsec monkeys, who used them because it was basically not possible to loose them, are screwed hopefully. There should be a significant risk of getting podded even in low sec.

Yes it yet another bug from yet another fail patch with probably zero QA. I stopped running any decent implants after I lost a pod a year ago from one of CCP's bug ridden patches.
I have lost a small hand full of pods in my time PVPing even in null sec and I can tell you at least half of them have been due to CCP patches. I lost one a few days ago to this "new" bug.
I guess I should ask the standard new memi.. "How much AUR to have my pod engage warp before a BC can lock it while I'm repetitively spamming warp."

There is always risk of losing your pod even in high sec. That risk should not include is it a no QA patch day.
Nothing is free in PVP, if you are too incompetent to catch others pod's then you do not deserve to catch them. Just like anything else, there is always a counter and yes there are ways to catch pods even if someone is spamming warp.
Just like in null sec where you dedicate a ship to launching bubbles you can dedicate specific ships to catch pods and "competent" pilots will catch them. If you can't figure it out, it doesn't mean it's risk-less.

I've noticed that the "Jump" button gets pretty unresponsive when you're spamming it too, as well as the Warp To. Really annoying.

No, I mean ships dedicated to catching things. In null sec you use dics & hics for the bubbles in low/high sec you use insta locking frigs or other fast heavier tanked ships if u are going GCC. With various mods & ships you can get set ups that will insta lock a pod if you dedicate a ship to doing so.
Just like you dedicate a ship to tacking with bubbles if pods are that important to you, then you dedicate a ship to catching them.

there is no such thing as "instalocking frig" for capsules, between locking and getting a point is a small time slip where the target even escapes when your disrupt symbol appears on the hud or module gets active. Generally, you dont even have a chance to lock if the dude was doing it right, the capsule warps always immediately after ship pops.
All you could rely on was lag and stupidity of the owner not spamming warp to a celestial while getting popped.

Actually it's called two large smartbombs. That said I haven't noticed any changes in pod warping and I've been spending a fair bit of time turning into an egg with the hulk ganks I've been doing. Some buttons do have anti-spam filters however. I find it best to click once every 3/4 second or so, rather than spamming as fast as I can. I have noticed a god awful amount of lag recently however. It took 7 seconds for me to cancel a warp earlier and I was the only person in the system. It was not a connection issue on my end. And it seems that kind of lag is getting terribly common.

pods are more unresponsive to warping out. if this is intended your computer hardware decides how fast you will get your pod out. the lag when you switch ship is not serverside. in the past the spamwarp was excellent, it would fail abit sometimes and so. without warp spam, low grade computers that go into capsule mode can be lagged enough that a battlecruiser can target your pod before you can warp out. fair?

Yea, it is the UI buttons that dont work properly. Lost a pod to that yesterday, button was just doing nothing after I was already sitting in pod with responsive UI for 5+ seconds easy.
When pod was half dead it finally responds and says "external factors prevent warp herpderp".
Meh, just a cheap nullsec clone so I could care less. Not gonna use any expensive implants in the near future though
Edit: A corpmate lost a Cynabal the same way, well clear of any warp disruption his ship just didnt warp when he spammed the button.

as the above poster says: two smartbombs on a ship. they are not wasted highslots applied right, clears ecm drones, damage drones kinda neatly.
This issue has nothing to do with computer side lag. The issue you are talking about is like a slow load from the transition of exploding ship to your pod. This new issue you get to your pod just fine, but it simply will not warp. (and no it's not because you are warp scammed)
I've only had this happen one time so far since the 2nd patch after incarna (prior to the latest patch), but it is certainly a new bug. This appears to be yet another new "powered by carbon" issue relating to the UI and it not working properly.

Did any of you claiming it's a new bug petition it? If so, was there any response other than the automated "our logs show nothing"?

Unresponsive UI for example:

Otherwise this:

will be unlikely to happen, as I doubt a CCP employee browses this forum, finds this thread and immediately starts fixing the issue...

Me personally, no. Didnt lose anything of significant value, and frankly I think it is in my best interest to have the bug there.
I dont use outrageously expensive implant sets, so everything that detracts others from using them is an advantage for me. If they still use them and I catch a HG slave pod, thats a nice ransom right there, so its win-win.
Besides, if it is a client-side issue (UI being client-side) as I suspect, it is not petitionable anyway. Since CCP already know the new UI is buggy as hell, it'll be worked on already in some shape or form I guess.

i had the delay in jita when i got suicide ganked, and no it wasnt from lag,had my overview off and brackets off. but anyway, i got my ship blown up and tried to warp my pod out but to my suprise i died and lost the implants i bought 40 minutes before, but to those of u saying u cant lose your pod in lowsec, you are quite wrong, and fast locking fit can get a pod, ive had quite a few pod kills and seen alot more from my corp.

As far as the topic of stealth lowsec nerf goes, there is another thing that was changed, hopefully not deliberately.
The sentry guns now lock frigates under GCC very quick and get at least one volley off even on interceptors. My Taranis used to get away without problem before Incarna, now it takes one volley from the guns most of the time.
Which is a huge problem for the viability of frigate pvp when flying a buffered fit without local repair.
