Has anyone thought to train for all four race ships and all associated weapon systems? By this I mean you have the respectable skills to back up the ship and the fitting. If you have then in what ship classes.

Posted - 2011.08.06 05:46:00 - [4] Cross training for multiple races is 'eventually' very wise (and as more characters get older, more common). However, in the short term, I recommend getting well trained on one race type/tank type. Play nice while you butcher each other.

Might take a year or two to happen though. And yeah, my main has all four races crosstrained Tech II BS and below, weapons and hulls. Did it over 4+ years though.

All T2 and T3 ships even, can use all T2 weapon systems for each race, on top of that I could fly a Nyx if I wanted by getting with a alliance. But I never was into blob warfare. Maybe some day.

Don't have a hope to match her ISK count though. I can fly most T2 ships up to BC size, don't have perfect skills for them all, and at least T2 weaponry for them all.

Valei Khurelem	Posted - 2011.08.06 17:27:00 - [45] I admit, at times I do think If I'm going to combat I'll train minmatar or something silly like that, but then again I like the idea of factions and races, it makes you feel unique being specialised in Amarr ships or sticking with something. What I want is to see more faction ships or customised paint jobs or even the corporate logo's people have wanted for ages. We need more depth in EVE not ****ed up balance adjustments and spreadsheets to look at.

I'll have all ships maxed out by march~april of next year, and that includes all dreads, carriers and titans to lvl 5, but i'll be still dumb enough to keep playing if for nothing else, hitting the 200 million skill point mark wich i will be very close to make it happen by late next year...

I recommend anyone starting out to train Minmatar, as you end up crosstraining a lot of stuff that the some other races rely on: drones and missiles, and you need both shield and armour tanks. ---- Will 2011-06-24 go down as the day CCP stood still, or the day the dream died?
