Do it yourself you lazy bum. We're not your private fitting service. YOU suggest something FIRST, then we'll critique it.
That's how it works. -----------------------------------------------

Three problems:
1. It doesn't take a genius to fit a carrier. It has no guns or launchers, it has a large drone bay, and it has a gross amount of EHP... so much in fact that adding a plate or shield extender would just be a drop in the bucket (i.e. it won't make a difference). This leaves you with fitting mostly resistance mods. There are capital repair mods that rep large chunks of HP... but most rigs do not directly affect their performance. This leaves you with either Capacitor Control Circuits for extra capacitor power to rep for longer or Trimark/Core Extender rigs for more HP.
2. Why isn't your Corp-mates/Alliance-mates helping you with this? Don't they know how to fit ships?
3. You're looking into fitting a 600 to 800 million ISK ship... yet you are concerned about tossing on mods that add another 40 to 60 million? Trust me... some mods, like the Imperial Navy Nano Membrane are well worth the extr
You know what? Never mind. Just go to Battleclinic and check out the "Loadouts sections." I look forward to seeing your killmail. _______________________

Just speaking as the devil's advocate, it's worth pointing out that carriers do get reasonably good insurance payouts. I'd still fit at least some faction, but I know quite a few people that consider triage to be throwaway.

You probably shouldn't be doing this. And if you are, you should be able to buy a couple faction mods (if not DED). But I'll bite, here you go.
[Thanatos, PvE] Damage Control II Capital Armor Repairer I Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Armor Explosive Hardener II Capital Armor Repairer I Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II 100MN Afterburner II
Drone Control Unit I Improved Cloaking Device II Salvager II Small Tractor Beam I Large Proton Smartbomb II
Large Capacitor Control Circuit I Large Capacitor Control Circuit I Large Capacitor Control Circuit I
Firbolg x10
3k DPS tank, 1.2M EHP (omni). ~1200 DPS, and a whopping 113m/s with the AB on. It's cap-stable with the smartbomb off too. And the DCU is because it lets you fit a nice even 10 fighters (if you'd spent a month and a half training Carrier 5, you shouldn't need to ask for a fit).

You don't have to fit faction if you don't want to but condisering the cost, an extra 150m odd isn't really anything to worry about and seriously boosts your tank.
Drones are just a random selection from a different fit, obviously put what you like in there.

You don't need the scan probes anymore. On board scanner will reveal anoms without issue. Fit a smartbomb instead.

I'd drop the probe launcher and one DCU for a pair of Smart bombs for PvE work, just to pop those nasty warp scramming frigates that will come to plague you. --Vel

Edited by: TheMahdi on 12/08/2011 20:18:42 a) You don't need probes (already mentioned). b) You don't need 2 capital armor reps, it is way overkill for anoms. c) You NEED a faction smartbomb for frigates, it will greatly increase your ISK/hour by not wasting your fighters time. d) If you stay aligned, you hurt your ISK/hour a lot (except on Rogue Drone Horde sites because you can pop all bunkers at once) because you can't use sentries while moving and either way, travel time between waves and redeployments will kill your ISK/hour, but try it and see.
Considering d) you should, fit an MWD and atleast 2 I-stabs, for a 20 sec align and warp. Or 3 I-stabs and no MWD for a 24 sec align. That way you can stay at 0km and be right next to the wave for maximum efficiency. You only need 2-3 slots for tanking anoms, they really don't put out that much DPS.
Faction modules are unnecessary because tank is overkill as it is you only need a faction smartbomb.
Also, sentries are your friend! It is better to use them when things are at range, for example on Sanctums with different spawn points. But to be honest, using only fighters in a Haven is better ISK/hour.
Enjoy the easiest ISK in the game!
P.S. Why are people so hostile to "carrier PvE" threads? Jelly or something?

Either this, or go with an MWD and use that to align. Havens primarily, sanctums secondary. If you need to do sanctums, you'll most likely want something along the lines of(I don't recall the exact relations of istabs vs MWD for various skill levels, play with it until you get a ratio that works, same goes for sig amps, sensor boosters and omni/Tps. Depending on the local rats it can be a better idea to drop omnis/TP's for sensor boosters):

If you need to ask... then you shouldn't be flying it at all
that being said... 5 Drone control units in highs... 3-4 target painters, and 1-2 sensor boosters in mids... 1 capital armor rep, and maybe 1 energized adaptive, rest signal amps...
And either use firbolgs or einhejirs... the amarr and caldari fighters are crap...
and also... if you get caught, you deserve to die... I personly used a ratting carrier since they implemented the sanctums and havens, and never been caught...

With all the damage you mean somewhere between half and a third of the damage, and that spread over two accounts instead of one.
