Lets take today for example 10 FA bs losses for 1 BoB/Shinra

Where are these great losses you speak of that are "aclaimed" to you?
Your fleet commanders are full of hot air, its what we in ATUK call the "XirtAffect"

Originally by: maurice My report from FA #2
I see a lot of success from the hostiles in FA core - ATUK and Shinra principally. Some FA losses are significant, but what successes FA have are greeted with acclaim, and are regular enough to not be unusual.
Ship losses dont seem to mean much in the current conflict, at least not yet. The main problem is getting a ship immediately if you lose one, but routes are fairly open and there isnt a shortage of isk as far as I can see. There are ships available in core; its a matter of time mostly to arrange them. Its a bore and takes a while, but then, there is no rush.
Thats the essence of Fountian for me - there is no rush. FA does not seem to want to force the pace, and ATUK / Shinra are not being allowed to dictate the pace (because FA only fights occasionally, at least during my time). Therefore every day progresses in the same sort of unhurried order as every other.
Tonight there were 40+ in YZ, 12 being hostiles. This is pretty typical. Fountain seems to have settled into a war / siege mentality where neither side expects to get much done; there are lots of bored people in local chat, with roaming gangs doing pretty much the same thing as every other night.
The war isnt over until the majority of players on one side or the other leaves I suppose - and that hasnt happened yet. I dont get any impression such an event is close.
To encourage neutrals to come into Fountain is irresponsible and will lead to innocent people losing ships which they might not be able to afford - neither side should try to issue passports at this time.
I know it was a tongue-in-cheek post, but I think ATUK and Shinra are both above this.
Some of your members are a little young I think to be attempting to represent you officially. I can almost feel your more experienced members embarrasment when the lesser lights start talking, well, rubbish realy.
Just a little restraint - a word or two from the experienced players to calm them down - would go a long way to making this war enjoyable for both side and not so relentlessly childish. For all that may be said of FA, we are predominantly mature and respectful to our enemies whereas the same cannot be said for our opponents. With, of course, notable exceptions.

Official Fountain Alliance Retort
Fountain Alliance will not entertain or engage in meaningless claiming of who maintains dominance during which timezones. Instead, we would like to take this opportunity to point out the following facts. Fountain Alliance member corporations continue to:
- Supply fuel to multiple POS in the area
- Rent and operate the majority of station real estate in the area (unless our enemies would like to provide screen shots to the contrary?), including offices, lab slots and factory slots.
- Have an advantage over the visiting hostiles in that we are established there, while ATUK must perform it's refitting, etc. out of region.
- Keep our clones in Fountain region (and Delve when we hold NOL) unlike the majority of those who attack us.
- NPC hunt, mine, haul, etc. during the lull in hostilities.
If our attackers can make the same claim, as the "visiting team" we invite them to supply proof. Otherwise we stand on our history in the region as evidence of the above statements.
Originally by: StiZum Hilidii p.s to mods this isnt flaim bait it is a statement of intent that is regarded as public news. locking this thread would go against what this forum is about
A statement of intent would be defined as "It is the intent of ATUK to sieze the Fountain region and offer hunting/mining/travel passports through the region formally controlled by Fountain Alliance, etc. etc." This is not what was posted. What was posted was flame bait and hyperbole or "humor."
I stand on my earlier statement that this thread is nothing but flamebait and request an immediate lock. There is not a single paragraph in the original post that is objectively supportable (and subjectively, only maybe). --- "All of us who are concerned for peace and triumph of reason and justice must be keenly aware how small an influence reason and honest good will exert upon events in the political field" - A.E. |

Teehee
As far as things go, I'm more inclined to think that FA is doing just fine. BS losses are almost meaningless. Only high cost elite ships or expensive mods hit the pocket book.
Either way, its not worth arguing with BoB or anyone else on the forums, the people fighting there know whats going on, and they are about the only ones that will.
Attackers really don't have to put nearly as much effort into the war as the defender. As we all know ships are almost impossible to stop as long as they have insta's. The only real way to judge is when the hardcore fighters are driven out.
Remember, the only time you fail is the last time you try. Or something like that. Oh, and hint to FA, BoB forces really hate chasing frigates...

What FA was died long ago. That was the essence of Sir Molle's post. FA has been reduced to a few terroristsw and a quivering mass of jelly.

McHammer....ahem
I would say that all that matters is that one of us is still there, and I don't think I ever saw you in the north. I remember the pilots in BoB that fought regularly, you weren't one of them.
BoB has the easy job, driving out carebears is simple. The hard job is being the fighters that combat the attackers. Saying "we won because the carebears left" is like saying you won a game of basketball when the people you were trying to force to play left instead. Kinda stupid. Me, I'm just hoping you guys come back in something other than BS blobs.
This isn't saying that some of BoB's pilots are not great pilots, the have a lot of good pilots, and a good part of them are great guys too. Then like most alliances, you have a good majority of idiots.

This sounds remarkably similar to BoBs post claiming victory in the north, when they left to go to Fountain. Nevermind that at the time of THAT post BoB hadnt controlled a station in the north (even the "BoB HQ" station) in over a month, and was being regularly beaten by guerilla warfare tactics being employed against them. If by "victory" you meant "well they wouldnt blob up for us and we couldnt beat them when they didnt blob up" then I guess it would have been more accurate.
Anyone who buys a pass from a BoB corp for anywhere is making a bad financial decision. BoB have notoriously short attention spans and are also not nearly as good in a defensive role as they are in an offensive one. Ask the NSA corps who accepted BoBs "peace plan" how they felt when BoB pulled out of the north and left them to deal with all the corps that put them as KOS for being "BoB collaborators". Cooperating with BoB in any way will do nothing more than gain you a rather long list of enemies.

Gravedancer - EVOL controlled the BKG station, BoB corps controlled EVERY station in Branch and Tenal, continuously, for at least a month (as I can only comment on the time I was there) prior to leaving.
Without interruption.
As such I can only conclude your post is about as useful as a basic shield flux.

Alex, I will only comment on the time I was up there.
It is my understanding, particularly from quarath's maps, that BoB controlled tenal and branch for a good 4 months prior to my joining RKK.
Is that long enough for you? I find it funny that, at the time, you supported them in this claim, but now you're on a different side you change your tune.

I supported BoB when I believed they were fighting for the right thing...freedom. And holding a region for four months wasnt entirely BoB - there were a lot of others working on the outside as well...

So, did you lie when you supported BoB in their claim that they controlled Branch? Or are you lieing now?
You thought they fought for freedom, yet here you are, representing imperium.
Ho-hum.

Ok for arguments sake, lets say BoB did control the stations for 4 months. Now considering that the war lasted for a year, If my math is right, that means PA controlled the stations a for 8 months after commencement of hostilities, and control it now after the end of the war.
Then by your whole "station controlled for so long" argument, PA won. Damn never thought about it that way, maybe I should have a victory party now.
Why dont you just DIE DIE DIE !!!!
