Yes been having this issue for the past couple of months and its totally random when this disconnects occur, I can confirm this did not happen prior to the Inferno patch, Some1 in Iceland needs to club a Dev and get on this immedately, Microtransactons for BUST can wait. |

I am with BT, never had a problem with connection until 2 days ago, I have been cut out of EVE all night, I got back on when the player numbers went below 33k, Now that seems like it is a socket problem.
Just hope it can be solved soon or I am going to lose ships. |

Hi,
Just to be clear, are people getting this when they log-in or during the game itself ?
I can consistently create a socket closed error by launching the full client and then not actually logging in for a few minutes. If I leave it for a while before actually clicking the login button, I will get a socket error. Subsequently it logs in fine though.
It'll be really helpful if you can clarify which case you're getting!

Me, for one.
It only happened once tonight, though...

Thanks and fly safe. First happened when I was logged in. It would let me log back in then boot me again 10 minutes later and get worse for about 20 min untill it just showed the server as being offline. It happened twice starting at about 20:00 GMT and also impacted the website. It was only eve related services that were impacted. |

It also seems to have hit the forums. Forums? Negative, Ghost Rider, the pattern is full.

I had this problem, thankfully its just not me then. I've been getting socket closed errors and also couldn't access Eve online website. But other websites e.g. BBC and Google load fine.
It happens during game play, they you can log in again but within minutes "socket is closed"

I was having the same problem. Game kicked me out saying socket closed, and after that it could not get a stable connection (dropping during login, then simply showing server as offline). I also had no access to the forums but all other net access was fine. Broadband showed no faults this end.
I'm assuming a cable break or something. Forums are fine for me today so should be all good now Minmatar....we are generally unpleasent to be around....

Thanks and fly safe.
The first time I was kicked out of the game, and came up with socket closed and I could not get on to any Eve based web site, and on Sunday night I never even got the chance to get on Eve until about 10-15pm and noticed the client level was around the 33k mark.
I ran a program that CCP suggest when you can not get on and it was totally red in the graph.

Its quite intermittent and there is no client side trigger. I'm also not sold on this being an individual's ISP either.
If I were to guess, I would suggest it to be EvE's UK t'internet partner.
Please fix. |

Same here, BT is my ISP and I have no problem with anything I've tried except EvE and the official forums.

Hey ppl,
And another one here... last 24hours have been a nightmare. I'm with BT, but I am almost certain that it does not have anything to do with the loss of connection and "socket closing". My other internet based games are working fine.
Why is it that when you really wanna play EVE, it doesn't work /0\.....
I did look at the Ping Plotter, but don't understand it hmmmmm... where is a man in the house when you need em grrrrrr
