Just a note the devs might be interested in... since it seems the jettisoning routine is now bugged to the point no cargo can be ejected from the ship, this means the startup tutorial is impossible to finish, essentially leaving the new people with no knowledge how to operate the game, other than moving around in local space and operating the mining laser.
I also figure this can make for a _really_ poor first impression, when completely fresh players are forced to sit idle waiting for gods how long,(instead of the minute they were told the jettisoning would take) wondering what on earth did they do wrong and how to move on... ;) |

Yes. There already was a problem with jettison cargo in the early tutorial. Perhaps just take that part of the tut away. It has created so much problem anyway. And why in the name of ... are there no more tutorials for the new players. Surely this cannot take weeks to do?

I had this problem too. Since then though a couple of friends have signed up and they have had no trouble with the tutorials.
So I'm not sure what the common factor is...

What is this timer supposed to achieve?
It makes strip mining a bit awkward... annoyind new feature.

My guess is that it may be related to PC pirates that like to jettison lots and lots of containers for lag purposes.
An NPC Corporation is not the pilot of its ships and structures! |

Either only make the timer effective at gates, or NOT effective within 50km of a roid field. EASY fixed.

I did the beginner tutorial with a new char I made and jetison works fine.

I just bought the game yesterday and spent all night on it last night. I've restarted the game 3 times in an ettempt to do the tutorial but with no look. So as was brilliantly put, I only know how to fly about the starting system mining asteroids. For the moment Im ok with this as I haven't been attacked or anything, and im just making a bit of money. There's no doubting though that the tutorial that I have missed (after the eject cargo part of course) will prove to be a nessesity later on. Hope this is fixed very very soon.
