Oh my god, i'm sure CCP loves pirates! I mean, stations have windows graphics on them, but you cant actually LOOK OUT THE WINDOWS OF THE STATIONS. Myself and many of my friends have been ganked whilst undocking by those young ruffians who cause much mischief, and I had no way of checking if they were sitting there outside! I request there be a new game mechanic implemented allowing windows to be transparent to see pirate foes outside, to save us from being ganked by the goits!

Windows in stations can't be good, what if you get BSD? All life support might stop working etc, no I think some form of Linux/Unix or whatever is better!

BSD is good if your using OpenBSD. :)

I think he meant to say BSOD... and I think some VAX/VMS system is probably the best if you want stability.

Very nice pic but windows may be hard to code or may not work well in caldari stations. I do agree with checking to see if someone's camping the station, on-the-fly alts aren't exactly viable in deep 0.0 space, maybe stations could have a camera drone service? You could look outside like a normal ship view except your scanner, the show info and look at features won't show up but the icons an names show up when you hover over them, maybe it would put that nice Ctrl zoom feature to good use without making the service too powerful.

To those who say "undock and have a look yourself":
There is now a built-in delay of about 20 seconds between undocking and redocking. You can be killed quite easily in that 20 seconds.
Why was this put in? It couldn't be because CCP is obsessed with combat to the exclusion of all else, could it?

Yeah... you forgot that whole timer for being able to redock. Most ships don't survive long enough to wait for them to be able to redock.
Which, you know, in all fairness is a good idea, since there would have to be procedures, and systems working to undock and dock ships, it can't just be instantaneous. But if we hold true to that mind set of thinking, I think that any and all space stations that have sentry guns should open fire on any ship willing to risk structural damage to the station itself by opening fire in such close proximity that a missed or richochet shot could hit the station.

TBH windows are a silly idea, but why not have camera drones outside stations you can rent for a bit to see whats there?
