The Gals screwed them selves by flipping early. The correct mindset would have been to hold off (like the cals are) until 1 day before patch. Flip systems and enter the patch in a favorable position , just like what happened when inferno hit the first time.
Thank you for the strategy lesson Don Bolsterbomb. The Federation Militia is run by a bunch of idiots who happen to control the center of the map. Thankfully CCP chatgris "bailed" us out again. |

On the Caldari side Damar, Amarrian Retribution, Bad Messenger and IGB would be in tears over getting kicked out of their low sec homes. And the majority of the Gallente corporations occupying Black Rise would be pissed too. |

Yes :) And the Caldari have had all this morning in their unopposed DT timezone to flip systems too, I expect the cal/gal warzone to come out relatively balanced after all this. |

If you need to bring bigger things into bigger plexes (in order to kill the rats), and if bigger things run away slower, and since the button and warp-in have moved, it only makes sense to increase the payout of standard and major sized plexes because now you're looking to gangs to run them. And boom goes the dynamite. |

BTW Mjolnir- Bolsterbomb was approached by CCP and his views were considered. There was a Skype conference call which included Bolster, Chatgris, myself, XG, Hans, MinutemanKirk, and Amymuffmuff. All militias were fairly represented. Well, at least the important and relevant ones So basically you just admitted it was Gallente planned, primarily. One Caldari rep... Nice. It's all good, I like the changes at the end of the day. Don't misunderstand me. It was the acceleration of the change that was dissapointing. We will continue capping systems and will reach our highest possible tier status within a short time. I was not there at this conference call mind you. The last time I asked when the patch would be rolled out the answer was TBD still.
It was Super Chair, not Bolster IIRC.

Look, you can read what I have read and come to your own conclusion. I am just saying that CCP rushed this, didn't plan properly to give equall consideration to all factions and ultimately didn't allow fair warning when it mattered more to one faction than another. We are recovering nicely so at this point I truly don't care, but commentary is what I am offering, a different perspective if you will.
So call me stupid, raged up, any other names you can think of, I am simply brave enough to say the truth in this in that CCP implemented this in a half-assed, rushed and ******** way.

You can count the number of asterisks and rule out all your guesses.
Don't ever let anyone tell you that you're smart.
Stand up for your stupidity.
Related somewhat to the post: I'd like to see CCP purge FW pilots and force them to rejoin. I'm curious about the active number of pilots for each faction now that farmville is (somewhat) over.

If you're Caldari and you're worried about warzone control, stop complaining: this early change benefits you. Here's why.
1) While the majority of the map is Gallente, the vast majority of those systems are vulnerable.
2) They're not just vulnerable, they're deeply vulnerable. Farmers have had weeks of pushing them 23/7. It'd take much more time to get them out of vulnerable since there won't be as many farmers after this change.
In short, you've got nothing stopping you from flipping those systems over the next month or so. I'd be surprised if the majority of the warzone wasn't Caldari by December.
So stop panicking, remove your tinfoil hats, and recognize that this timing is really in favor of the Caldari. |

actually ccp limited contested to 133% so no, those are not so deeply contested as you could think.
33% is about a day plexing |

What about the Amarr failure, i think that is the reasons this is implemented in a rush,... to avoid a FW reset.

Are you absolutely certain about this?
It wasn't in the dev blog, so the safe assumption seems to be that this will be a December change along with the rest of the planned iteration. |

Quote:Quick note for those who are defensive plexing across the warzones right now. As part of the patch today we took every system that had more than 4000 VPs worth of vulnerability (>133%) and set them to 4000 VPs.
We are planning to implement a cap on the number of VPs past vulnerable a system can collect, but that was not ready to deploy quite yet.
That's still a heck of lot of deplexing. But whatever. *Shrugs* Gallente FW Blog http://iamsheriff.com/blog C'est La Eve :) |

Oho, I stand corrected.
Still, yes. That's a **** ton of deplexing to do. Plenty of time for the Caldari to sweep vulnerable systems. |

Call me an optimist, but I believe we can hold the required number of systems for T3 (42?). It's really not that hard. If everyone just gets out and afk deplexes for a couple days, we'll be fine. If, however, Gal Mil shows their A.D.D and starts chasing merlins with a 15 man gang in the evenings, then yeah, we're screwed :)
I have a noob deplexing alt running a couple of systems and it's raking in the ELLL PEEE as we speak :)
